Fogarty, Thilthorpe, Rachele, Pedlar, Soligo. If they take their game to a new level we should make finals quite easily.Dan Menzel names soime player that need to lift. I can think of a few others that need to improve consistancy.
THE FIVE ADELAIDE PLAYERS WHO NEED A BIG 2024 TO “CERTAINLY” LIFT THE CLUB INTO FINALS
The five Adelaide players who need a big 2024 to “certainly” lift the club into finals
Daniel Menzel has listed five Adelaide players who need a big 2024 in order to lift the team into September action.www.sen.com.au
Agreed. We need to go with a new ruck setup and only use ROB in certain games. Disappointing we didnt use the trade to bring in a ruck upgrade.I dont think ROB has any capacity to improve on what he already delivers.
Probably right, the question is if he stays where he is or regresses, does it specifically hinder our finals hopes?I dont think ROB has any capacity to improve on what he already delivers.
He was special from the start.I thought McLeod was overrated after his first few games.
I think Rankine is the other one that has potential to have a big year and go to another level. I can see him following the path of Bolton from Richmond and becoming that elite mid/forward player.Fogarty, Thilthorpe, Rachele, Pedlar, Soligo. If they take their game to a new level we should make finals quite easily.
IF he can get really fit over summer..I think he can go beyond Bolton level if he is played through the middle primarily. He is one of the most naturally gifted footy players since A McLeod that has come through the doors of our footy club.I think Rankine is the other one that has potential to have a big year and go to another level. I can see him following the path of Bolton from Richmond and becoming that elite mid/forward player.
Big call, but I predict him to be in the AA team at the end of next year.
Rachele - not sure he should have compared himself favourably to all other 2021 draftees (ND) but expect to become elite next 1-2 years
My hope is that he can get to peak Robbie Gray levels, eventuallySeems many think Rachele will just automatically become elite. Hope I'm wrong but I don't see it.
He has the weapons to become elite, needs to improve on his goal kicking accuracy.Seems many think Rachele will just automatically become elite. Hope I'm wrong but I don't see it.
Agree wirh your 5 & would add Worell to the mix too.Fogarty, Thilthorpe, Rachele, Pedlar, Soligo. If they take their game to a new level we should make finals quite easily.
Has a long way to go emotionally to become a professional. He has the weapons to become elite, needs to improve on his goal kicking accuracy.
Seems many think Rachele will just automatically become elite. Hope I'm wrong but I don't see it.
He will be a mid.I dont see him as a natural Midfielder at all. Elite small fwd maybe.
Top 4 territory.Fogarty, Thilthorpe, Rachele, Pedlar, Soligo. If they take their game to a new level we should make finals quite easily.
His first 8 weeks this year suggest otherwise.......I dont see him as a natural Midfielder at all. Elite small fwd maybe.
AFLCA MVP winner would be handyMy hope is that he can get to peak Robbie Gray levels, eventually
With a greater endurance base he should at least have a chance of getting to that point
You didn't watch him last year (admittedly faded late in the season) and the first 8 weeks when he transition into the midfield (also faded late in the season)?Seems many think Rachele will just automatically become elite. Hope I'm wrong but I don't see it.
He will be a mid.

Ask Southerntakeover, even he said "Rachele will have fun at Collingwood" after seeing him transition into the midfield after a few months and that's saying something....clearly you didn't.
Laird is a solid B+ grader, Rachele is in a total different league and he looked very natural in his first 8 weeks which isn't surprising since he has played midfield before getting drafted. No doubt, he's still very dangerous when resting forward so probably develop into an 80/20 midfielder.I have no doubt that he will be a very good player in our midfield.
I dont think he becomes a full time elite midfielder of the game, nor do I think it is his most natural position.
For context, I dont consider Rory Laird an "Elite" midfielder of the game, where Im sure many do.
Can I ask why you think this?I have no doubt that he will be a very good player in our midfield.

Cmon Abab ....Rachele has done absolutely nothing to be compared to Laird ...nevermind being classified in a different leagueLaird is a solid B+ grader, Rachele is in a total different league and he looked very natural in his first 8 weeks which isn't surprising since he has played midfield before getting drafted. No doubt, he's still very dangerous when resting forward so probably develop into an 80/20 midfielder.
