Tambling v Roughead/Franklin

Thanks for the laugh Richo, I needed that after yesterday's game. Brilliant Stuff. Are you performing live anywhere, I'll be over in Melbourne in a couple of weeks, wouldn't mind catching your show.

What is it with you Richmond supporters and this argument. To be quite honest I'd take Jordan Lewis before I took Richard Tambling, if you want to discuss midfielders. What are Lewy's all important Champion Data stats Richoman??

...and how about that dynamic, hard-ball winning game breaker that is Joel Bowden? I'm sure his Champion Data stats will give an extremely accurate indication of how 'good' he has been.

haha using champion data stats to analyse this, nice work sir.

You do realise champion data stats is always going to favour midfeilders over a Key Position forward.

Dont like you using there stats at all for analysing players or analysing players that play in different positions for that matter.

But since you are note this about champion data stats.

90+ is a descent average for a forward
105+ is a descent score for midfeilder.

So maybe we add an extra 15 points to the hawks boys to make up the diff??

Yes all in all bad way of analysing a mid vs a KPP forward !!!

By the way well done to Tambling for his improvement over the last month.

So on thise stats, Tambling is a bee's dick ahead of Buddy and Roughy. That's a player who has just started to pull his finger out against two blokes having a pretty ordinary year.

Nothing to really boast about I reckon.

Here are some cold hard facts from the 2009 season for a few of you Hawthorn supporters that have been oh so smug about Draft Picks.

Average Champion Data Points 2009

Tambling 82.9
Roughead 82.8
Franklin 80.5

Champion Data points may not be the be all and end all, but they are a fair indication of how a player is going. Theres a fair case to say Tambling is having a better year than both of them!

my god, here we have the 'tool of the year'....go to your own board, you black and gold scum....we/I couldn't give 2 shits about the 'Bling' or the ****en draft of that year

We are the reigning Premiers where as the 'Bling' get's to play in an ordinary side...that is not his fault....poor bastard, I feel sorry for the kid

Wow, you know you've really got a point there. Do you think you guys might consider a trade at years end? We'll give you Roughead & Franklin for Tambling...? Does that sound fair?

Oh dear, was the OP kidding or joking and somehow I missed it, he can't be serious surely.

Using champion data rankings as a guide, based on that theory Thomas Murphy is having a better season than Simon Prestigiacomo.:thumbsu:

According to Champion Data Joel Bowden has had a better career than Jonathan Brown and Mathew Scarlett is the biggest dud going around.

Richmond measure players by Champion Data stats. Hawthorn measure players by premiership medallions, Coleman medals and best & fairests in premiership teams.

Why are you doing this to yourself? Look, Jarryd Roughead and Lance Franklin are two of the top five key forwards in the game. Richard Tambling's form of late, has been pretty good and roughy and buddys has not been so good.

Champion data is a horrible source but if you do take it that seriously, then look at it this way. Tambling is having his best season so far in his career. Buddy and Roughead are well down on there best football. Despite this, the numbers are almost the same. What does that say about the overall value of the players in comparison?

Have fun with Tambling.

i think roughead and franklin for tambling is a steal for us!!!! wouldnt suprise me if they didnt ask for hodge, lewis and 6 magic beans as well

OMG they let people like that use a computer...... Hmmm it must be take it easy on a Richmond Spanker week and let him near electrical things....
If you want to use stats for an argument at least make it a reasonable one.
Champion Data also do stats on peoples IQ's and guess which team supporters have the lowest....

"Oh we're fromTiger.... shallow and slack"
:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

Thanks richo 1982 for giving your advice re.Tambling being better than Buddy or Roughie, but can i give you some advice.
" We are quite happy with both of our players, and you can stick up Tambling up your backside and go back to your own Board.

Umm both of Ruffy and Buddy have a premiership, Buddy has a coleman medal, and you dont know anything about the hawthorn football club if you think that they are the reason as to why the hawks have been woefull this year...

our delivery to them has been dismal all year and 1 paticular player who can lay some blame is willo, his kicking and delivery to Buddy has been pretty bad..

so before you start up threads on a hawthorn board about tambling prob 1 of the worst players to play afl come back in here next time with knowledge about the club problems 1st...

Funny thread :D
But in all seriousness Richo1982, how about these stats?

Rioli (averaging 84.5 champion data points)
Cotchin (averaging 60 champion data points)

Hmmmm, isn't that the guy you got with pick 2?
Imagine how many more games you would have won with Rioli in your team ;)..
Another draft blunder by the TIGS
