Actually it was Hutchy, not Caro.

So no bias. Gary Lyon said Tambling couldn't make AA from here because he got dropped earlier in the year, otherwise nobody really disagreed with the idea that Tambling's last month has been AA material.

We don't always have to compare these blokes... both of our players can be guns at the same time! It's not like only one of us can have "the good one".

All this mini debate is about is Richmond supporters asking Hawthorn supporters to accept the fact that Tambling is now playing awesome footy.

They also praised Bling on the other footy programs, so he's obviously doing pretty well these days.

she can be though but i have always said tambling will come good for you guys and happy that he is . he is no dud and i agree with all you say , i think hawk supporters and tiger supporters just like comparing these two kids , don't know why they all play their own style no matter who they play for anyway best wishes to Tambling i hope he gets to play in the AA team !

He has without doubt been superior to both of them especially buddy this year. This is also reflected in champion data points which are a reasonably accurate way of telling how a player is going. You may have stuffed up with your draft choices and you know it, the chickens are finally coming home to roost!

However, Tambling might be ahead but most of his disposals have been piss poor when getting the ball onto his teammates. That's what counts.

Where most of us see a thread with an outrageous, provocative (context taken into account) and patently ridiculous contention, I see a big evolutionary step.

Yep, somehow the single-cell organism that started out living off the back of tadpoles in the gene pool, has managed to mash around on a keyboard and fluke this thread.

Let's applaud them for that big, small step forward. And hope that over the next 55 million years their descendants keep the evolutionary ball rolling and grow some sort of brain capable of reasoning and basic thought.

Tambling will be a good player, but seriously, he has a long way to be as good as Jordan Lewis, let alone Buddy and Roughy!

Mathew Bate and Angus Monfries has done more than Tambling!

You Tiger supporters need to off load the pressure on the poor fella, let him improve over time and stop comparing him to the super stars of the game,

There will not be many Lance "BUDDY" Franklins of the game and also Roughies and Deledio's.

Poor Bling was picked at number 4 and he will be a 200 game player. He will play some great games and some very competive games, BUT his best will never reach the heights of the Buddy's, Roughies and Deledio's. I'd be very suprised if it goes close to Lewis, Monfries and Bate. But Tiger supporters, that does not mean he will not be a good player, because he will. Tambling will be a great player for the Tigers, but as far as being the best player in the 2004 draft, that will be laughable, beacause that will never, never happen.

Do the 2004 draft again and the top 5 will go Franklin, Deledio, Roughhead, Griffen and Lewis. I'd like to see how many clubs would choose differently, because they are a clear cut top 5 in my opinion!

Champion Data points may not be the be all and end all, but they are a fair indication of how a player is going. Theres a fair case to say Tambling is having a better year than both of them!
