Another question... (to those that care) are any northern based players playing VFL footy next year? There were quite a few last year that played.

Heard a rumour that the devils captain for this year will infact be A.Gilmour. Anyone else heard this??

i have not heard this one, but i will say that it would not surprise me and infact i think he would be good in the role, no one loves football more than rat gilmour , no one. i would also say that b geappen will remain captain also , my thoughts are that A Gilmour will be added to the group of leaders for the 08 season.

well let me tell you something bomber gus, you will find it hard to find any support with your comments about b geappen.
dont go assuming and believing everything you here around the trapts, if we were all to just that imagine how much more crap would be on the forum. and as for setting examples im not sure if you have a greater understanding of the world and how it works but i thought i would inlighten to the fact that a bloke that loves xxxx gold and goes out to strip clubs using tax payers money whilst representing australia , well bomber gus , he now leads our country.

if its true or if it isnt , who cares , not us , each to there own i say.

and if its a bad example and you are so easly led dont go out , stay at home and watch dvds and pull your self stupid over the extensive ameture pr0n you have.

just dont have any time for people that talk crap.

i have a thick skin , nothing really makes me upset , maybe a pie thats too hot to eat when you first buy it, that makes me mad!!

Young Mitch can be a tad fiery when the mood suits him;)
And if he was in the mood, Geappen may have needed a lie down afterwards.
On the field, he has talent to burn, hence him winning Lauderdales B & F last year.
 
Everybody has a right to view there opinion on here wether we like it or not,there is no need to be abusive to to the people that post on here just because other members dont like what is said,more about football and players changing clubs would be good to hear about but thats my opinion, thanks

I would not be to quick to call it crap i have seen first hand the use of drugs by the alleged person.

If i was the first person on this forum to ever talk about this subject i would stand corrected but i am not so get of your high horse big timer because you are talking crap. Hey and whats wrong with a few beers and a strip club. TOPIC CLOSED

Talking to a few pepole around and there seems to be a lot of players walking away from premier league footy this year due to the big money on offer from minor leagues New Norfolk looks to have lost 12 players and North have lost a few too does any one know the situation at other clubs?
This has come up at the Premier League meeting and a $3000 clearence fee may well be put on certain players heads

I honestly wouldn't have a clue. Last I heard they were still trying to get Ziggy harema to coach, but considering it is January and there hasn't been any talk mentio of training., it isn't looking too good. Lachrilly or Cadoras might know more than me, they are closer to the club than myself these days.

You don't think we're all gonna wet ourselves with excitement over seeing C Blight playing for the Bullants about a million years ago do ya?

One of my very, very reliable sources in this instance informed me on Saturday that from the New Norfolk Senior side that lost to North Hobart in the 1st Semi last year they have lost 16 players!

Rumour has it about 8 or so from various grades are headed to Claremont.

Who have North apparently lost to the "minor leagues"?

Curtin,vietch brothers devine, cox , Williams not certain on these but they are names i have heard
 
Veitch Brothers to DOSA and I was under the impression Devine was offered ridiculous money to go to Lindisfarne but decided to stay at NH, that was quite a while ago though.
 
One of southern footy's journeymen passed away this morning.
The bloke known as 'Itchy' Mick (Michael Marriot) who had been a waterboy at clubs such as Sandy Bay, Glenorchy, North Hobart, DOSA and Hobart pre-Lions and current died of kidney failure aged only 44.
Had reported to have been suffering badly from pins and needles in one of his legs recently, and was admitted to hospital where he was found to have a fat buildup around his heart, had complications and had a leg amputated then everything went even more pear-shaped.

By 'Ziggy' do you mean Zigmont, or do you mean his nefew Craig?? If Zigmont, you can rule him out.

that may be so, but its not news, its not the place to post such things.
i see many people do this, and just because someone of note "allegedly" does this does not make it news, it means he may be one of millions that part take in this recreational activity.
i too would like this to be the end of topic.

in other news

what are the thoughts on Mconnon out @ norfolk, is he or could he have rubbed some blokes up the wrong way out there, it seems like this change has been a bad one for the boys @ boyer?
 
Is he not coaching Uni in '08?

I suspect McConnon is the latest victim of the general mistrust and dislike those in the Valley have for Outsiders!

haremza resigned at the end of last season.

I heard a former star Lindisfarne junior footballer who played under Ross Brown has been sort out down at Uni. Its not you is it Barge?
