My mail is Jacobs is in for Hammer
Hadley will come in if Carrazzo doesnt come up
Grigg is also in doubt. May open the door for Walker

So, if Hadley and Walker come in, you would assume Warncok is not going anywhere and probably neither, Ellard.

Where does that leave Yarran?

He'd be in. Walker in if Carrazzo out - Carrots is in the 18. So 5 of the bench 7 would play.

Carlton

B:
Aaron Joseph, Michael Jamison, Marcus Davies
HB: Dennis Armfield, Paul Bower, Jordan Russell
C: Heath Scotland, Chris Judd, Kade Simpson
HF: Andrew Carrazzo, Lachie Henderson, Mitch Robinson
F: Eddie Betts, Jarrad Waite, Jeff Garlett
Foll: Sam Jacobs, Bryce Gibbs, Marc Murphy
I/C (from): Joe Anderson, Steven Browne, David Ellard, Richard Hadley, Andrew Walker, Robert Warnock, Chris Yarran

Walker should only come in if Carrazzo doesn't get up.

FFS...why would they even bother giving Anderson or Browne a look-in...it's finals time, not "develop the hacks" time.

Happy with the other changes.

So shattered about Grigg not playing... Could've been his last game last week as a Carlton player (Suns)... :(

Happy with the other changes nevertheless, Hampson did not pull his weight against Freo which was disappointing and Carazzo if not 100% should not be played too.

Please correct me if I'm wrong...but when a squad of 25 is put out changes can't (or just generally don't) come from within the starting 18. This means Davies is definitely in the side. Don't get me wrong, I like what I see with the kid and think he'll be a good player but can we really go in to an elimination final with a 4th or 5th gamer or whatever the kid is. For mine he hasn't yet really looked settled and adjusted to the pace of AFL Home and Away footy, and the intensity is obviously much greater in finals footy. As much as I don't rate Walker too much these days, surely his 100+ game experience should give him the nod ahead of Davies or even an Ellard or Browne (since both on bench and could be out) type with the couple of extra years of experience and kg's they have on them.

Davies at this stage is in the selected side. Under the rules he may be dropped by one of those on the interchange/ emergency list by 5:00pm tomorrow evening. Fines are incurred by changes to the selected side if the player brought in was not included on the interchange/ emergency list.

I'm thinking there is no chance he will be dropped.

Who would you like to have come into the squad?

Remember 3 guys from the squad will miss out.

The MC may have specific jobs and have one of these guys in mind for it.

Just to add to that Shmurf, a late change can also be made up to 90 minutes before the game starts when the team sheets have to be submitted.

If a change is made from the interchange/emergency list, no fine will occur.

The list will be trimmed back to 22 by 5.00pm tomorrow.

We have been playing one short in the back line for the last month.

The guy who really suffers is Paul Bower. He's playing true CHB when we all know how damaging he can be off the HBF, taking the third defender.

While I have reservations about T-Bird, his application and form in the seconds cannot be challenged. He deserves a chance.

By not bringing him into the team we are seriously hurting Bower's confidence and our rebounding capacity. Our back line is just too short.

Tell you what if Anderson or Browne get in we will be exposed big time. The team already has Marcus Davies to carry in defence and in a final having to carry two players in the defence will be a too bigger ask.

Please Ratts this is an elimination final - do not play either of these two boys!!!

Unlikely I reckon. 1AW is not flavour of the month. Real concern at PP about his willingness to get hard ball

Concern is warranted, also has trouble tackling.

Dam about Grigg, I just don;t want Anderson or Browne ........Pleeaase

Not happy about this side,

I'm very comfortable with Davies selection in this game. Experience shouldn't be an issue, because about 80% of our team lack experience anyway. He's a very accountable defender, with blistering pace (see the Varcoe run-down). He's also a very powerful, line-breaking runner - similar to Armfield, but bigger. Also very strong overhead. He rarely zones off his opponent. Plays an important role i.e. a shutdown defender who can hurt his opponent on the rebound.

:)

I cannot believe what I’m reading regarding Marcus Davies.

Last week was played in finals like conditions and he stood up. Did anyone notice the quality of the beautiful kick inside 50 in the second quarter, dissecting two Freo players ?
The kid’s thinking was clear in the heat and his skills were clean which is more than I can say for some of his more senior teammates.

Don't worry Bluesque as it won't happen.

Johnson is not named in the squad ;)

Someone had mentioned it in a previous post, so yeh

Finals...anything can happen, here;s hoping.

I must say, they think they;re going to walk all over us, we;re just a blip on the radar, bad mind set IMHO

I've been a huge fan of Walker over the journey but I share that concern. Hadley much more valuable for team balance. We looked like men vs. boys last time we played the Swans.

IN: Hadley, Jacobs
OUT: Grigg, Hampson
