Richmond and Freo for me.

Richmond are my favourite Victorian club and I've always liked them as a footy club. Plus they haven't had any real success in a long time so really hoping their supporters finally get some glory. I'm also a fan of Terry Wallace and if Cousins goes there and fires, all for the better.

Freo, I'm just sick and tired of people here giving the club a hard time and I've always beena sucker for getting on the teams that are playing below expectations. I want them to prove the doubters wrong. They are in a similar position Port were in a few years ago so I have that connection. Oh, and the purple jokes are ridiculous. Their jerseys look fine.

How about everyone else?

They deserve it though. Any underachieving club, like my own, deserves to be criticised for their lack of success. Hopefully now they have realised that "topping up" rarely works.

I have hated North lots, but could not begrudge them success.

They would be a great club to support, always digging deep when written off etc.

I liked Sydney when Maxfield was playing for them, but am now quite indifferent to them

On the day, though, I dislike any opponent with a passion

If it's not Collingwood, then I'd prefer to see a team win the premiership who hasn't won it for a long time, or has never won a flag. In 08, for instance, after Collingwood was knocked out I was hoping for a Bulldogs-Saints grand final, but it was obviously not to be.

all teams other than the swans are shite :p

but always happy to support the underdogs

and always happy to support the team i had to win in my footy tipping ;)

Hawthorn (again) or Carlton.

Hawks are young with talent galore. Carlton are emerging with talent, and it would be a shame for them not to taste success within the next 6 or so years. Having said that, I'd like to see a few flags for Punt Road all the same!!

Melbourne or Western Bulldogs
i am liking it how many people are jumping on the Richmond bandwagon most likely because of the Cousins factor, i think this is exactly what they club would like to see!:)

My preferred top 8:

1 Hawthorn
2 Western Bulldogs - long-suffering fans, exciting to watch
3 Richmond - Richo factor
4 Geelong - poor old fans haven't seen much premiership success in the last 50 years
5 Fremantle - would be nice to see inferiority complex lifted from perpetually-suffering fans
6 Port Adelaide - I like their special version of South Australian arrogance
7 Brisbane - A team full of young kids I'd like to see do well
8 Melbourne - Wouldn't it be great if they resurrected themselves? :(

I always like to see North do well, because I like them as a club and I like they way they play, generally good honest footy. They are also usually criminally underrated. I also have a good mate who is a Roos supporter. Other than that, I want to see good footy, and there are a fair few clubs on the up this year, so hopefully we'll see a fair bit of it.
