Such a great show.

Just knocked off season 1 and every episode makes you smile.

Not a weak link amongst the characters and they're all charming in their own way.

With Victoria being in lockdown for another 6 years, I'll no doubt knock off the next few eps pretty quickly.

They haven't really hidden that their texting each other on Keeley's app.
They've given the impression that they are texting each other without confirming it to us as the audience. But regardless of what happens with that, I reckon they end up together anyway, feels like a logical conclusion

The best episode in season 2 so far.

The show is at its best when there's a good onfield story - they have consistently portrayed the game action well. But the performance of the team also gives the coaches and players room for character development, and brings in fan involvement. Then it can be balanced with some off-field personal issues for the main characters.

So we have learned that Roy should be coach and there is zero reason for Ted to still be there.

Ted got an English premier league relegated and then had them playing shit in the second division despite keeping all their stars and getting Jamie back who he turned to shit. He couldn’t even help them With their mental issues this season which has been delegated to a shrink.

now he just runs away from the game with 10 mins to go.

he needs to be sacked.

I reckon that's probably what has caused his anxiety attack.

Except the storyline from the last episode was Nate being the catalyst of their win

Um jamies goal came from Roy getting him to play like a prick.

ted had his anxiety attack straight after that.

nate also helped get thé goal at the end but the 5 game winning streak clearly begun when Roy came on board. They made that very clear that was the key change.

Can we please put an end to the myth that this is just a feel-good show? Jason Sudeikis was incredible in Episode 6. (PS: read the entire Twitter thread)

So this is a deliberate story turn that I have not seen because like the tweet says he is “annoying”?

My point is the show is darker than what has been acknowledged - Brett Goldstein (who actually wrote the latest episode) did an interview recently that basically said as much...

If it were a real football club you would have a good point. But it's a fictional comedy TV show. No Ted, no show.

I wonder if he's had his breakdown because of the long distance to his son, not the football related issues.

Binged this over the last week and up to date now.

Agree with those that Season 2 seems to be lacking a bit of purpose ,particularly around the on-field story. Still enjoyable, just feels disjointed at times (big emphasis on their consecutive draws ties, then suddenly a huge jump in time where they have played 20 odd games and won some). Hopefully the FA Cup arc continues

What's been lost in all of this is that Ted was really the one who left his wife, not the other way around. So he must have been having these issues prior to arriving at Richmond.

The main plot point of season 1 was Rebecca wanting to tank the team as much as possible, hence hiring Ted. Maybe Ted's job security becomes a plot point down the track but not yet.

S2 has been a bit patchy but I think it's getting there, certainly with that last episode.
