I guess that means they'll stop the burger deal they have during Crows footy games :$

Any place which serves chips in those miniature fryers must be avoided. ****ing wanky.

Yeah it's a fair hike from Port Hedland to grab what looks like an instant cardiac arrest .... mmmmmmm .... nutritious.

Taylor Walker: Confirmed Dickweed.*

Horrific way to simultaneously ruin your personal brand and disrespect your fans. A simple request to remove Taylor's name would have been sufficient.

If I were Tex, I'd barter for significant memorabilia for removal of the name. Positive-sum outcome, perhaps even a good story written about it too.

We fly in our own self-interest

*Perhaps his management.

I find it hilarious that Port supporters are trying to play up the owner as an innocent victim. The reality is that he's using player names, without obtaining any approval, as a cheap promotional tool to increase sales.

Ultimately if Boak is happy for him to do it that's up to him, but legally the owner of the bar can be legally liabile for using using a name or likeness to promote their product without permission.

Honestly I think this is driven by Roo because of their business interest at the Alma, but regardless the owner of the bar is an absolute dill for doing it in the first place without gaining their permission first.

I agree with this. It only takes a simple phone call to the club to ask the question as to whether they can attempt to profit from using one of the players' names or nicknames.

In what other kind of business venture would u be able to do that? None. Gee, imagine doing that in the US, they don't even sign autographs over there without payment up front.

He doesn't use his name, he uses his nickname. Taylor Walker doesn't own a caveat over the nickname "Tex"

What you're claiming has absolutely zero legal standing whatsoever. In fact I'd say that's most probably the most asinine thing I have read on Bigfooty so far today.

He doesn't also own the rights to his actual name either, but it's not even remotely part of the issue here. It's that they're using him/his likeness to promote a product without gaining his permission, it's hardly rocket science to understand

Of course it does. "Tex Walker" could be anyone - "Taylor Walker" is not being used to promote a product at all. Simple.

Walker is a common anglo name, your captain is carrying on like a filthy campaigner. He should easy up and embrace his cult status rather than come across as an obnoxious brat

There is absolutely no reason to quote my post

Tex Walker burger on the same menu as a Boak burger in an Adelaide restaurant and it doesn't refer to the Crows captain? Wow.

Did King Abdullah in Saudi Arabia threaten a lawsuit against channel 7 for referring to Wayne Carey as the 'King'?

So he should embrace someone who is using his name/likeness for profit without his permission ? Are you really that docile ?

Once again Port supporters are quick to jump on anything they can get their hands on, even a nothing story like this I n an attempt to deflect from Port's less than stellar season.

You Camry flogs think all the Emu's are golden boys who are beyond criticism. You are just another brainwashed customer.

Of course he should embrace this, it a no-brainer from a P.R. perspective. Tex owes SA a bundle - criminally overrated and his benefited financially from his time as a Camry in SA, it's called giving back to the community. Are you really that docile that you think money from a mum and dad burger shop is the issue here?? This isn't a million dollar corporation, it's a small suburban business.

He has a wonderful opportunity to engage with fans, support a local business and earn a bit of good P.R. Instead, he comes across as an up himself wank above associating with the common person

Walker's own nickname is named after Tex Walker the Texan Ranger - perhaps the producers of the show should sue Taylor Walker for copyright

Not surprising from a ******* that get's a police escort to a SANFL game, it's lucky you have some football talent Tex albeit overrated talent otherwise you'd be flippin' burgers for a living not having them named after ya.
