FTA-TV TFS - The Footy Show - 2014

It started way too late. So i didn't even bother to watch. What the wwos9 people must do is organise their tv schedule and move the state of origin to gem. For those of us in victoria we had to wait until all the drivvel had finished before the footy show started.

I'm pretty sure the panel was due to time constraints and the fact it was on a Wednesday night so only one game with selected sides. Let's be honest, not many players offer much on the panel anyway, so it was pretty refreshing for a change.

It was really a combination of that rubbish sport being on last night and Sydney v Geelong on tonight- yet another Thursday night game.

Honestly the AFL need to get their act together re. scheduling. I am a Geelong member (have been for 20 years now), usually go to every game in Victoria except for some at KP. SO far this year I've been to a grand total of 2 matches (Collingwood and Hawthorn)

I did however manage to stay awake and see their little "spiel" on how we need State of Origin back in the AFL.

Must say I had a little giggle at that -my usual reaction when I hear the SOO argument raised yet again- It's gone, let it go. Along with that ridiculous "International" crap that no one gives a rats about either.

-sigh- SOO.

News flash Channel 9, no one gives a flying **** about it in Victoria.

Gotta agree
I think you mean Wednesday. :p

Late night got to you too Rusty?

Yes, your absolutely right on several levels :)

There is a lot I could say but cant. Thought the change in set up was good for the change and should be more of it.

All of June are Thursday night shows thank goodness.

Well, I wish I could give my opinion re. the new set up, but like I said before I fell asleep. Was dozing all the way up until 11pm, until I switched it off for good. I blame all this sleepiness on the 15 seconds of rugby I would have watched towards the end of their telecast...

TFS jumped the shark imo when Crawford rubbed his arse crack along Newmans nose and mouth. That was in no way defensible as an attempt at humour, and was a disservice to the credibility of the program, and the participants thereof.

With profuse apologies to AtomicBlonde, I didn't need to witness that, and I have had difficulty watching TFS ever since. It may have been good for ratings, but it trashed the credibility I had apportioned the program.

Barely able to watch it since.

Not needed at all, I too thought it was disgusting and have not been a regular viewer for a long time. Just seems this year that I am catching it on more often than not.

I know we watched it for about the first half before you get a bored with the repetitive nature of run, smash, get up run smash get up.... there is only so much you can take.

You would also need to take into account what is on, on 7 and 10 at the same time too. Would like to see a SOO game up against an AFL game in Melbs. Doubt it would be the top rating show then :)

I thought the five main people forming one larger panel was a breath of fresh air actually regardless of how shit they performed. The players give you nothing at all, they have media gags on them so its better to just get them on for an interview and then piss them off again.

Overall, it wasn't a particularly enjoyable show as they have completely lost the art of discussing anything of interest.

Jono Brown. Now last year every 3rd show had the big man but I think this is about his first for the season 2014

&

The man who has replaced Jono Brown as Mr every 3rd week, Dane Swan.

Oh, and I expect one of the main panelists to be really grumpy tonight....

8.30pm tonight just before Fargo @ 9.30 on SBS.

Loved last night's show.

That drive certainly was interesting between Dane Swan and Sam Newman. Strange blokes indeed.
Interesting show last night. It makes me wonder how dangerous JB is going to make the dares the guys have to do if they lose on their certainty tips.
So no Bootsma as special guest? Drats.
I think everyone is so over talking about what Bootsma did to get himself sacked. Sam's joke at the start nearly made me stop watching the show last night. So many people are making the same joke about Bootsma on social media.
When the subject was carlton and they were talking about Chris Judd people would make the same jokes.

Is there really any point in asking Billy Brownless for his tip in Geelong games anymore?

Seriously, the guy hasn't tipped against them once since 2007.

Please just stop asking him, we all know who he's tipping!!!

Love Dane Swan, such a lad.
Worth tuning in to the show just to watch the man, needs to talk to him more while hes on the panel though!

Like Billy and Sam going more left-field with their certainties and putting their balls on the line, wont see Garry do that.

I'm waiting for someone to come out and have a decent crack at Newman for driving with no hands on the wheel. He constantly took both hands off the wheel whilst talking to Dane Swan, hard to know how dangerous it was but it's not a good example to set for anyone let alone someone driving a Lamborghini.

Noticed that as well. Would be great if he got done. :D

RustyHawk who is on tonight?

Shame Swan probably isnt on, after being on the panel last week. Shit coulda got interesting...
Swan and sam's road trip video is still being shown. So you might have some luck there.

I would just love to see sam's reaction to Dane Swan dropping his guts in Sam's car. That would give me enough fuel to hang so much shit on both Sam and Dane.

As far as that article that Carowhine wrote in the age she spins way too much shit. Who cares if Swan had dinner with Mick Gatto.
