I don't care if they passed a crack pipe around before they got them out, the proof is in the pudding.
As I said earlier, I think they were anaesthatised ,,they definately took Ketamine and according to wikipedia "Ketamine, sold under the brand name Ketalar among others, is a medication mainly used for starting and maintaining anesthesia. It induces a trance-like state while providing pain relief, sedation, and memory "

Why is it important what drugs they gave the kids? They were successfully saved. Surely that is the story?

Or are people enquiring for home experimentation purposes?
It's interesting from a medical point of view as I am a nurse. No one gives a shiz that they took drugs, they were obviously pharmalogical grade and safely administered. It was a stroke of genius from Dr Richard Harris and the team. If there was any panic, the divers would be in danger themselves and would have had to abandon the kid if they went crazy

That 2nd video is.....wow. And explains how they brought the boys out. Quite sedated and locked into the stretcher. Makes more sence then them trying to swim sedated which would’ve been very difficult and risky.

What a huge effort to carry each boy out. Extraordinary.

Yep fully knocked out with ketamine apparently. Probably a smart idea. They were unconscious but able to breathe.

Wow, they must have kept the details very quiet in the leadup (understandably). The AMA I mentioned before absolutely denied that they were going to knock them out.

Makes sense though, they got them out much faster than expected.

Yep true Meb. I didn't think they would go the fully knocked out mode. Hey it worked I guess!

I read that it was a mild sedative. The kids had to do dives of up to half an hour. Better that they had their wits about them to some extent.

Just amazing that the rescue team could get 12 kids who couldn't even swim to do dives of that period through muddy water and narrow gaps.

I read something that said some of them may have actually slept through the rescue

Just wow if that happened. I guess if the kids couldn't swim they wouldn't have really helped to propel themselves along.

I wonder if there's any precedent for this ever happening before?

How lucky is it that one of the better cave divers going round also happens to be an anesthetist.

Luckily this was in a non western country. Could definitely see an American/Aussie parent suing the rescuers for drugging their children in order to get an easy pay day.

Mate in western countries kids pay good money to drug themselves with ketamine :p
