I had a bit of a laugh watching his GWS video. You can't hate him for leaving, I hope the GWS fans find him amusing too!

As a younger man I waited with baited breath for the Shaw progeny to come through the system and find their way to Collingwood.
The spawn of one of our clubs greatest dynasties they both had enough of the "right stuff" to don the famous black and white and both endured the huge weight of expectation which came with both the name and the honor.

Rhyce went his own way, more due to structure than any other consideration, but never once faltered in either commitment or love for the club.
Heath made watching the Pies a joy.
His overt love of the club and the side was on display every week.
His imperfections, honestly acknowledged by the man himself, were part and parcel of the package that was "Heater".
His joy unbridled, his frustration unrestrained.
No more or less imperfect than many of the players we fondly remember as "legends".
I'll mourn his loss, not the least for his individuality and foibles, the rarest of the rare and forever in history a Collingwood Premiership player.

Watching him in foreign colors will be a travesty akin to Brock driving a Falcon.

In my mind his "letting go" is the first questionable decision I have marked in Buck's book and I stand hoping to be proven wrong.

A week as sad as Daic's retirement, Clement's or Mckeown's omition from the 1990 GF.

I'll have beer with you any day of the week Heater. You delivered everything I ever admired in a player or a man.

At his best with us he was unbelievable to watch... destroyed his man 1v1 then just kept running off him and spearing 55 metres passes to teammates.

Please keep the thread about Shaw, and not about Bucks.

Good on him. Love him and always will, for all his foibles. May need to rely on him at some stage this September to hold the Hawks off, and prevent them equaling our record run of four flags. A smother on the goal line to prevent them getting in front in the dying minutes of the GF would do.

WAS a terrific player for us. Good on his rebirth at GWS.
Happy for hat he gave, happy for what we got in Adams (8 years younger is our Taylor). A true win win for everyone.
