I was a soft **** I should have gone - I owed it to these three men. My weak effort made the whole thing feel worse crying on the coach. I always had a soft spot for Spud in particular - even during the brain fade 50m penalty generator period - Drew and Spud are two of the nicest blokes you could ever meet. Boomer he could give you the shits but he was magic

I personally liked Harvey a champ of the game, loved it when he beat Essendon with what was it three goals in 10 minutes a few years ago ? Anyways wish him well, really hard when your champs retire but a great legacy.

For all the positives there are to being an AFL footballer, this is the one time I don't envy them. That vacuum they must feel in the days, weeks and months after retirement could be devestating.

Glad they all seem to have strong family units around them, and hope they don't become strangers to the NMFC family.

If anything it takes the heat of us not being in that top 4 2016 play twice in 2017. Hopefully gives some breathing space to play these young blokes without getting 100 point beatings.

Congratulations and commiserations to the four. Have loved watching them in the royal blue and white. Very disappointing way to end a season which started with promise and hope (at least the first half). Gutted. Will be so strange to watch this great club without the stalwarts like Harvey next year...

I can't recall a more appropriate time than 2017 for the club to trot out the "New Era" merchandise of a few years ago.

Heart and Soul has been ripped out of the club. Going to take some time to recover from this.
