With all of the injuries that we've suffered this year on top of everything else that had gone wrong during the off-season it's a miracle that we've done as well as we have.

To make the finals went against what all of the so-called analysts believed that we were capable of this year. I know that our coaching staff is much maligned but surely they have to get a fair amount of credit where it is due.

Can we do better? I'm not doubting that we can. However, considering all of the injuries to key players that we've had along the way, the form slumps to players who had been important players at different parts of the season (Andrew Walker, Setanta O'hAilpin, etc.) and the unexpected drop offs by certain players (Bret Thornton) and the club has exceeded expectations.

I think many of us here believed that we would make the finals if we had a good run this season. To achieve what we have to this point is an outstanding achievement. A win next week would be icing on the cake, so to speak.

Judd didnt even miss a game with his injury, Gibbs hasnt missed a game, Joseph missed one or two, Wiggins isnt even in our best 30 players, Johnson isnt best 22, so I am not sure what the point of this thread is when you could do similar or even worse with alot of other teams in the competition where players have had niggles or missed a couple of games:confused:

Houlihan doesn't rate a mention? I'd rate his absence as one of the main reasons our forward line has lost potency.

Kreuzer's knee and maybe Walker's collar bone would be the only things that have hurt us more this year.

Have you heard of Houlihan?

Worst injury run we've had for some time.

Someone shoot that ruddy black cat.

We have 2 of our best 22 out injured atm- one who you haven't even mentioned.

Walker was in our best 22 before he broke his collarbone.

Who was whining?

I thought you were trying to state a fact without whining. That we've endured more than our fair share of injuries this year. Whether or not the players themselves have missed games is besides the point.

Sure, Carrazzo technically didn't miss a game but he got injured early in the game (first quarter). That's worse than actually missing a game as it throws out the rotation completely.

I'd much rather go into a game with a player out of the side than be a man down the entire game like we were.
