I will put more bets on later but i had a bet on Chapman to be the leader after round 11 he had a very good start to the season. Its going to be tough to be in front of Ablett at that stage but thought Chapman was value.

Chapman wont be in the top 10 at half way,
quote me on that
abuses umps, and hasnt had one standout game IMO where he is a certainty to get the 3

Considering he got suspended an inelgible for the brownlow, I'm assuming they have made an exemption for this particular Round 11 market?

Will the outcome of the Brownlow, mainly Swan winning have an impact on the odds of the Grand Final? SUrely there is alot of $ on Swan/Pies multis, and also suspect those who collect on Swan outright to load up on the Pies as well.

Yep.

From memory Geelong came in a fair bit after Ablett won last year.

I can't believe there is a brownlow fave at $1.80. That's putting a hell of a lot of trust in the umpires. Swan has been the best player of the year, but he can be unobtrusive in comparison to his stats.

Lay Swan now or pre-jump at $1.92.

Given Ablett should smash it early days and there is still 'that' query on how the umpires will treat Swan's season, Ablett will firm from his current quote of $5.30 - in all honesty Swan should drift to $3-$3.50ish.

If you think (now, or mid-way through the count) still wins, back him at the higher quote. Lock him in for a free bet or green book either way.

Surely the $1.80 (TAB) and even the $1.92 (BF) is dreadfully skinny, especially if Ablett gets away to a flyer.....

Swan could get votes in probably 15 games, so even if he doesn't poll as well as expected he'll still be in with a shot. I think Hodge has the best shot of stealing it but we've seen how he's polled recently...

I have Swan polling in 13 games, and 2 games he might poll.

Hitting up this bet at TAB Sportsbet tomorrow big time...

Brownlow Head to Heads

Swan (32) vs Ablett (24) Swan $1.40
Hodge (25) vs Pendlebury (14) Hodge $1.75
Goddard (17) vs Judd (21) Judd $1.95
Hayes (14) vs Goodes (9) Hayes $1.65
Harvey (17) vs Selwood (16) - -

Just a thought-as a melbourne supporter i went through rounds 1-22 to try and count votes. i had green and sylvia tied on 13 votes with the next closest on 5 and alot at the 2,3,4 vote area. With sylvia and green at $4 and $3 respectively im loading up heavy on both and figuring one has to get up, by my calculations noone else is remotely close. thoughts?

That's pretty much the consensus on Melbourne. I have a Green or Sylvia in most of my multis. Will post them a bit later...

This is serious! What a joke!

I wouldnt say he hasnt had a standout game he has had a few games in the 1st half that should get him votes.

As i said Ablett will most likely be in front after round 11.

Anyone know if you can have a multiple bet across Brownlow Medal betting. I've gone to a few agency websites and it seems you can't (Sportingbet, IAS Bet)

e.g. team a top poller X team b top poller X player top 5 etc etc

Any thoughts
