What is the rules regarding how many clubs one player can represent in 12 months? Forgive me if I am wrong but Ba would have played for West Ham, Newcastle & potentially a new club within 12 months, possibly breaching the rules for how many clubs one player can play for. Do you think this could possibly affect the Ba transfer?

In that case I don't understand all of the transfer rumors about Ba, effectively he can't move until the end of the season.

i would imagine so. for a while we thought he would be sold this january, but wenger talks about a depressed transfer market currently because of the economic conditions in europe. arshavin's likely destination outside of arsenal would be back to russia, so i am deducing that the russian clubs are also short on cash.

not sure what he would be worth either, if i recall correctly we purchased him for 17m pounds. unlikely we would make a 'profit' on his sale, something wenger likes to do when selling players. he really is a bit part player now, only featuring in cup games etc. and is being overtaken in the pecking order by the likes of oxlade-chamberlein, yossi benayoun etc. im guessing if he's not sold now it will likely be in the summer

One of the best performances by any player in any game the EPL has seen. With the football we were playing then, we could have scored 5 or 6. Arshavin was just magic that day and was applauded off Anfield if I remember correctly. Has to be asked where it has all gone wrong for Arshavin since that season. If Anzi whatever they are called offer Arsenal 10 million plus he'll be straight out the door faster then a Russian drinks a bottle of vodka.

That truly was a remarkable game. Just epic stuff. Even after arshavin scored his 4th late on (was the 89th minute if I recall correctly) Liverpool still hit back to equalize at 4-4. Arshavin scored the winner at anfield a year on as well. Has been very poor since and looks lazy and disinterested.

A real enigma. What we saw that day at anfield was a flash in the pan it seems

Reminds me of the day Viduka tore Liverpool apart at Anfield. Scored 4 goals and was unstoppable. Never really got close to replicating that ever again.
