Few reports of Man City going after Baines. I do not want to see him go at all but will be hard for Moyes to turn down a big offer. I would rather just the cash than cash and Wayne Bridge which has been reported. If anything Moyes will probably try and work Bellamy into the deal

Newcastle are gonna have a sexy looking 11 next season if the signings come off

Harper
??? Coloccini Taylor Enrique
Barton Cabaye Tiote Guttierez
Gervinho Gamiero

With Ben Arfa on the bench. If they sign a better RB then Simpson which they should have money to do thats a top 8 side for sure

There are more names we are linked with that would make it even more sexier haha - Ben Arfa will not start on the bench we would play a different formation and Danny Simpson is an okay right back.

But yeah if we actually get Gervinho, Cabaye and Gamiero (I doubt we will get him) we will be on our way up the table.

Rumours around that Gervinho and Neil Taylor (Swansea left back) will be announced tonight at some point and Cabaye will be announced on Wednesday. Also there is a press conference being called apparently for Thursday and the rumour is it is to announce Enrique has signed an extention to his contract. Also to throw more into this exciting week, Gamiero is getting toured around SJP on Thursday with his advisors.

They are all rumours and would not be surprised if none of them happen. This is Newcastle United, expect the unexpected.

I wouldn't have thought Nasri would be too expensive given his contract situation. It wouldn't surprise me at all if he was trying to get a better deal out of Arsenal, but Arsenal don't tend to fold to player power so it might not be the best thing for him.

Baines would be good for us, but he would be expensive and we'd have to go through all the Moyes amateur dramatics again. If we were to go part ex, Everton could have Bridge, Bellend, Onuoha (would be a good get for them IMO) and Jo (ha ha). With FFPR coming into play I would expect some creative accounting behind the deal.

For someone with a pretty phenomenal record at the best club side in the world, and the best international side in the world, is there anyone around that is as under rated as Pedro?

Agree about Pedro. The guy has a workrate like very few people in the best leagues IMO. Very important to our system.

Baines IMO has been a top three LB this season, any team that gets him will be very lucky to have him.

Nasri, if he decides to leave, will be sold for next to nothing considering his real worth. Having just one last season on you contract and not wanting to renew (if that is what happens) will decrease his market price significantly.

Very interested to see what Newcastle will do this summer. If they hold onto Enrique, and bring in Gervinho and Cabaye that would be a very good foundation with their existing team.

Agree 110%

Should go to Barcelona IMO. Better option than Pedro and would give them a huge marketing benefit.

****ing LOL.

you can't be serious?

case in proof.

Yeeeah, I wonder how Pedro would go in any other team...

He plays his role in the Barcelona side and does it well, but Barcelona can improve on him. When your lot buys Giuseppe Rossi (which is looking increasingly likely), who do you think heads to the bench between Messi, Villa and Pedro?

It's not about heading to the bench, it's about rotations. Both players we are heavily linked with; Rossi and Kun, can play in any position of the forward three, hence the reason we are interested in them.

Fox Sports are running with the Nasri + Modric ---> United story. 20 million is the price they've put on Modric. Which is interesting given some people here are quoting beyond 30 million.

Nasri, to me, is one of those good players that Ferguson could make an absolute gun. I was a fan of his work at Marseille and would love to have him.

Modric I'm not sure about. I'm still not sure he'd be the right fit.

20m pounds? the rags over in england are more deluded then i thought. 40m minimum for modric, considering players like milner and lescott went for 25m, carroll went for 35m, berbatov even went for 30m and modric is more important to us then what berbatov was, and he is also younger.

LOL, so now, according to the Sun, Modric is worth £20m...

The media has become an absolute joke nowadays.

Also read that Liverpool are chasing hard for Bojan. Would laugh if they paid a stupid price like £15m for him.

Thats because the Turkey team is a complete mess on the field. Mourinho with Alex and Arsene as his assistants couldnt fix that mess never mind Guus.

A midfield consisting of Turan, Sahin, Altintop, Emre etc shouldn't be losing to Azerbaijan ffs.
