Another year and we have someone who we pinned a large part of our rebuild wants out. Everything isn't rosy at the club.
Hahahahahahahahaha, made my day lots of LOLs.

Here we go, so it begins.
You must be a new comer to the AFL world, so I'll give you a tip.
Player movement happens with every club every year.

Can't recall many Top 10 picks walking out of clubs once they come out of contract.

Boyd the only one recently.

Freeman is a big blow for Buckley & Hine. If you bring good characters in, that is Hine's job, and you build a culture where players buy into and are prepared to take unders, your football club is well run.

Ok, so aish (most likely) McCarthy Boyd are 3 other high draft picks within the last 12 months asking to leave their club. It happens at all clubs.
This has nothing to do with Nathan Buckley, it is purely money driven.
I guess you are ignoring the fact treloar, greenwood and varcoe all wanted to come play with collingwood. Add to that scharenberg, Moore degoey and Maynard have all bought in to culture and direction of the club this year.
Your arguement is flawed

Why do you think Treloar is coming? $

Same for Greenwood and Scharenberg resigned recently for $400 k.

So only GWS & Brisbane are losing Top 10 picks. Collingwood is benchmarking against the best clubs.

Bit confused here Mick.
The other day you said Freeman wasn't of good character, have I missed something?

derek is building the list.... I don't think we should attribute things to buckley that he has no control over.... btw bucks will need to keep the injuries to a minimum next year so he can get the best out of the troops..

So Hines is building a good list, not Bucks??
But it's Bucks who will need to keep injuries to a minimum next year, not the medical or fitness staff??

Bucks can't win either way can he??
He's not responsible for putting together the good list, but is responsible if they get injured?

Wasn't it postulated a few days ago that Freeo's dad was "hawking" him to other clubs? Maybe the influence is coming from there. He's only got one chance at a big cheque and he's gonna take it whilst he can?

I know we all get disappointed when our young guys don't turn out like we'd expected but its long been a Collingwood Mantra "You're either with us or agin us".....if the boy doesn't want to be with the pies...good luck and get what we can and move on.

All the time.
Well said.
Wow a human being opted for more money, shock horror

Actually Buckley always wanted to leave the bears, for collingwood, happened even back then.
People come, people go
Money often talks everything else walks

Did you bail in your first year there?

No, though I didnt have a higher pay offer at that time. Had I been offered the higher pay at that time I would have.

Anyway, I dont subscribe to the "all is not well at the Pies" theory. I do subscribe to "**** Freeman" policy though :D

Why can't Buckley turn a lazy footballer into a motivated one, instead of shying away from them.

Paul Medhurst was considered a talented but lazy footballer at Fremantle.

Yet under Malthouse, he bought into the team philosophy and became an All Australian.

Heath Shaw although not lazy, has to be managed in a different way due to his ADHD.
But again it is something that Buckley didn't want to deal with. He took the easy way out and traded him and the team lost a soon to be All Australian talent.

I think everyone is having the same thoughts.... PK leaving..... Seeds wanting to go..... Freeman wanting to go..... and the common thread is the coaching of Nathan Buckley. Its like a rerun of Didak, Shaw etc etc....

Every year there is a revolving door at trade time. You can't build sustainable success if this is the case.

So....
Players who come here only come for money.

Players who leave only do so because of culture or disagreements with Bucks.
Let alone Thomas, Beams, Freeman and Dawes who all left for much bigger deals than we offered, or Wellingham who wanted to go home (and took 2-3 years to get his act together in Perth).

... or even Cloke who took a 500k/year discount (compared to 2 other offers) to stay at the Pies.

Piss off with your dribble.

Mick's lost the plot.

Freeman isn't make or break for us- particularly with Treloar coming. Possibly Aish too.

The rest of our key planks are in tact.

PK, Freeman, the seed, all fringe players on the outer at the pies, all young, need to look out for their futures, get some new hungrier blood in. AT and co.
