They don’t need to be overly mercurial - I’d be very happy with 2 or 3 blue collar workers in the forward half.

Agree with that - Papley would be my number 1 choice as well. He can also go into the midfield and provide some run so he’d fit our list perfectly.

We’d need to downgrade pick 2 to get him though.

If we could turn pick 2 into Papley and Hill it would be bloody tempting..

Gus looks seriously flat at this stage. I'd probably just let him go for his sake before we ruin his career. Can't see him getting back under Goody.

Taylor would be a good pick up. And this would be a good time to do it. Brisbane is simply too good, a couple of good players will get squeezed out. Papley is wishful thinking. Would love Petrucelle too. I think we should be aiming to bring in two small forwards who are proven AFL standard, and one more young one too. Langdon looks likely, jungle drums are beating there. Freo will surely have better offers for Hill unless we're thick enough to kick out Brayshaw. It's unfortunate that all of our players' stocks are low right now. We could have got a decent pick for ANB 12 months ago, for instance.

I would prefer we take pick 2/3 to the draft but i can't see any other way we land them both?

I just saw tomlinson was pick 9 in 2011 and GWS 7th pick that year! Can't believe i don't remember them having so many first round picks.

Edit: downgrade pick 2/3 for a later top 10 and late first rounder? I guess we need to be creative.
