ITT: (supposedly) adult men who think that their right to "boo" Adam Goodes is more important than Goodes' right to walk onto the field of play without feeling as though he is being bullied and vilified because of his defence of his people.

And it'd be great if any of those other reasons justified it.

In fairness, many of those who have joined in the booing and merely doing it for the novelty. But the idea of "I just boo Goodes because I don't like the way he plays" is utter crap and everyone knows it.

see the poll above, there are many reasons they dont like him

while do you continue to ignore this and harp on about racism.

just you and your average IQ.

Of course he likely did however that doesn't take away from the fact it's a presumption and not fact.
See what I mean? You're full of shit. That subtle trolling, though...
Well according to the rationale of a few in here, if you don't fully subscribe to the belief and opinion that booing Goodes is solely a racial attack then you are a racist yourself.
You're agreeing with DA. If that isn't enough to convince you that maybe you should reconsider your thoughts on the subject...
By the way, care to respond to my last post?

Yes, standing up against racism and being proud of his heritage is exactly like the supplements saga.

Where did I say that?

I just said that Goodes has tarnished his reputation as a great player by his behaviour in recent years like Hird has.

It's OK to say that about Hird though as he isn't indigenous, apparently all of Goodes behaviour is beyond reproach due to his race.

LOL did you even read my post? I pretty clearly stated that most who were booing were probably just in it for the novelty.

It's amazing the efforts that you have gone to in this thread to justify your reasons for acting like a tool.

I wish us male, middle-class and white people had someone like Adam Goodes to stand up for our rights.

New clubhouse leader for peak stupid.

The only people who would think he has tarnished his reputation would be the people that boo him in the first place who obviously don't think he has much of a reputation to begin with. Don't ya think?

it's not more important. it's as important.

Opposition supporters will keep booing while they get a reaction that helps their team

Boo him and he reacts and it puts him (and his team mates) off playing at his best - they will keep booing

Boo him and he ignores it, kicks 10 goals and Swans win - they will stop booing

That is what you said, you defined one of the poll reasons as being crap.

Tell me, do you support the AFL/Clubs line that everyone that boos Adam Goodes is racist.

you indicated in your post that you didnt, I can only assume that you agree with me and the AFL/CLUBS are lying.

Shit post plugger.

Politicians are booed are they not? If you want to get involved in that game you've gotta be able to cop the consequences
When was the last time a politician was booed repeatedly whenever they tried to speak exactly?

it's not about the 'threat'. there is no threat. anyone who felt threatened by that is as big a pussy as goodes.

but goodes is complaining about booing after he's gone and provoked the crowd which is just pathetic.

if you can provoke the crowd you can take the boos.

I think your forgetting the Boos came long before the tribal dance.

I'm on team Goodes. I think there is two sides. For and against. And just saying 'o he pointed out a girl' , 'he pushed his views on us' or 'he's a dirty player' is the easy thing to say to join in the debate when realistically you probably don't give a rats about any of it. He pointed out a young girl, yes it was a split second decision he made after being called an ape. What would you have done in the moment? My take on his views are that he's a proud Australian he is high profile and like many high profile figures he felt he has an obligation to raise awareness to a big issue that we all face and he personally has had to face over the years. He unlike many indigenous Australians has the opportunity to be heard and speak for those that don't have a voice. The invasion day comment has been wildly blown out of context, I would suggest reading the full statement to those that are just following the leader. Lastly I personally wouldn't call goodesy a dirty player, he's made mistakes like a fair chunk of past and current players, there's a lot of players playing for frees and playing outside the spirit of the game more often and more recently than Adam. Hes only got a handful of games left, you'd like to think we can send him off as a champion of the game regardless of what side your own.

The majority are not booing him because of his race, if he woke up and smelled the roses once in a while he'd know this.
