I think it's fairly patronising to make suggestions as to how she should've handled it. Other journos have spoken about Gayle doing a similar thing to them, I think it's fairly naive to think that there's an easy way out for the interviewer in that situation.

I reckon that she missed a golden opportunity to absolutely bury him in public. You yourself have provided enough evidence that he's a prick, so she MUST have known.

Do you reckon that a hardened female political journo would have missed the chance? No way. They would have loved for him to say something like that and then cut his dick off.

I'm quite openly stating that she has been hired because of her sex appeal to the viewer, against her journalistic integrity, and has been found sadly wanting under pressure.

Of course I'm writing fairly generically, especially when compared to your false equivalence comments. The issues related to gender, media and sexism is a much deeper issue. There is however a lot of factual basis behind differing standards when it comes to sex appeal and whether it's undermining gender rights.


I may have misinterpreted your point though and you meant the opposite view.
