I was quite pleased with the result but not the performance. But I want to say that, so many times Utd play shit and win anyway. It's the sign of a good team. We still have Gerrard, one of the best players on the planet to come back into the side. Carroll should be coming off the bench. Gerrard to Suarez makes my dick hard. Going. To. Be. Awesome.

Exeter next midweek. Id like to see the squad players and youngsters get a gig. Doni will no doubt make his debut and Greek/Skrtel could be in the middle. Flanno and Robbo in the full back positions maybe.

Id love to see Sterling and Suso in the squad. Coady too. But also some game time for Maxi Rodriguez. Id play Carroll just to see if he can score to help his confidence.

Which Gerrard have you been watching? It's not 2005 anymore. There are many better midfielders than him now.

Doesn't matter mate, still can do a lot of damage on his day and when fit, just watch when he is up and running.

I think you all underestimate Gerrard. He is only 30, you all act like he is 35. He is still one of the best midfielders on the planet and he will no doubt show that this season. That im sure of.

Looking forward to seeing some of our very promising youngsters midweek.

You're still acting like he is 25 and never injured. He is one of the best influential midfielders, but I think he is on the decline. Still a good player, but not what he was.

can any of your players put a ball in like Gerrard can (today)?

This has nothing to do with Arsenal. It's about you lot talking Gerrard up like he can win WFOTY.

To be fair it's only Jod saying that, Stevie G's best days are behind him sadly, but he's still capable of moments of brilliance (when fit)

You guys are well stocked in midfield. Although some are on the way out, but you should still have a fair few stay. In theory you should be able to manage him and not play him as much so he can stay fit which will be beneficial.

Although, he'll most likely want to play every game and could break down again. When was the last time he was injury free?

He was injured a fair bit earlier in his career, but was relatively injury free for a while before this groin problem.

I think that the days of him playing 90 minutes every game are gone. He's still a very valuable player though. He'll still start his fair share of games but I wouldn't be surprised to see him used as a kind of impact player off the bench in some games.

and why would dann or cahill sign to be third/fourth choice.
and why spend 20 million?

We're not apparantly, even then with Carragher getting long in the tooth we need to get a succession plan going

Disagree. Let's just wait until he comes back into the fold and see how he goes. His link up play with Suarez is gonna be amazing.

You're all nuts. Acting like he is 34 and has hardly played because of injuries. He is 30 years old, if a professional footballer of his calibre cant play 90 minutes of football at 30 years old then you're just doing it wrong. Stevie G never does it wrong. He will be fine and when fit will start and play pretty much every game.

You guys have such short memories. It's Steven Gerrard? He is 30? He had a groin problem at the back end of last season. It was operated on. You guys love to smash the panic button. Maybe Gerrard should just retire.
