So as a manager that's won a league title/champions league with W settled team you're going shunt out your 1 forward for a new signing? How is that going to effect the morale of the squad? And Werner is in his peak is going to come and play a role off the bench, really?!

I read that as "Liverpool have money but they are already spending it" rather than "Liverpool have no money."

Werner will probably end up spending quite a bit of time on the bench at Chelsea anyway.

Yeah no. He is our 1st choice striker. Giroud and Abraham are 2nd and 3rd choice

What's the difference between the club spending it in other areas and no signings? We still not getting any signings until someone leaves. Foolish to anyone think the owners aren't pumping what we earning/their own funds with the improvements we are making on and off the field.

Sounds like Arnold, Hendo and Matip should be good for the Leeds game. (Although a lot can change in 2 weeks)

Maybe something like this?

Mane-Firmino-Salah
Keita-Fabinho-Hendo
Robbo-VVD-Gomez-Arnold
Alisson

Subs: Adrian, Matip, Milner, Gini, Jones, Minamino, Brewster

I would not rush Hendo back. For the first game or 2 I would start Gini and have Hendo come on for 20-30 minutes to get a bit of match fitness.
2 weeks of training, maybe a possible behind closed doors friendly or 2 beforehand.

Hmmmmmm not to gloat but told you all.

Both #lfc and Gini Wijnaldum have a significant difference in their opinion on the terms of any new deal, but there's no suggestion of a fallout. If Wijnaldum stays, Liverpool cannot, and will not, push forward in any attempt to sign Thiago. #awlive [@MarkOgden_]

So Gini is currently on about 75k per week. If he's asking for 125k per week, is the only possible explanation for not granting his wish that we're broke?

Absolutely not. Not everything feeds into your narrative, especially when I would suggest Gini probably isn't in our best XI at the moment with everyone fit (on form it's Fab-Hendo-Keita in the midfield). If Barca are willing to give him a significant pay increase which it would be foolish of us to match, why would we do it? Get some cash for him now and use it to help purchase another player, who is probably Thiago (who would start ahead of Keita).

the shills are out in full force on twitter, it's genuinely a useless platform for LFC discussion at the moment. and i'm not using the word shills lightly there are clear and obvious troll accounts hanging shit on every part of the club, it's actually sickening

My "narrative". Whatever

We're not prepared to offer Gini the 125k a week but if Thiago comes in he will want more than that you would think.

How much is he on? Gini is important to the team imo. We just miss that creator. Thiago can fill that role though we do have Keita and ox for that role as well.
