There's talk the Wiz are going to be able to re-sign Kuzma now by doing this deal, if that happens, it's not too bad from a Washington perspective, but yeah, I don't like the Lakers getting good players for cheap rates either

I understand the short term expediency, but it's still essentially a top-10 pick wasted. And they used last year's pick on Johnny Davis...

Don't think they are helping the Lakers at all tbh

If they were willing to get rid of Rui for basically 2 2nd Rounders means they had no other interest

On paper he makes them look decent, but the reality.............

I don't think he's a starter in this league, unless you had 4 very good defensive players around him to complement his weakness. He is a guy who can get you 20 off the bench on some nights though. At a cost of Kendrick Nunn and some worthless picks, it's a no-brainer for the Lakers.

He had interest from a few teams, but it's the fact that he's due a contract extension that will have lowered the price.

Houston will get him

They have already started the tank, expect Gordon to be dealt soon and Green/Porter rested

Plus the market is too big in Houston

Green sitting out might actually hurt Houston's tank, not help it.

Can't really understand why he's allowed to dominate the ball the way he does while Sengun is under-utilised.

Just curious, what made you decide to support the Sacramento Kings in the first place? (Genuinely curious)

Loving their long await resurgence this season btw, but in my 30 plus years of being an NBA fan here in Australia, the Kings have always been the least popular/supported franchise here (even during the Webber/Dirac years)

They were the most entertaining team in the league at the start of the century. It wasn't even close. They were light years ahead of the rest of the league.

That aside, some of us just like picking the duffers. peternorth is a good case in point.

The amount of injuries/games missed by players this season is getting beyond ridiculous now.

Derrick White is the only Celtic (for example) who has played every game this season.

The schedule is fairly brutal (esp with so many back to backs)

Either reduce the number of regular season games or expand the season (to reduce the number of B2B games) imo
Compared to a previous era, back to backs have been reduced and teams now have a plethora of medical staff, strength and conditioning coaches, dieticians, sleep specialists etc. Most of these regular season “injuries” would see a player take the floor if it were a playoff game. Don’t get me wrong, there’s plenty of legitimate injuries out there that need time but now players can take a night off for rest or management or whatever you want to class it. I guess in the era of player empowerment, players want to avoid any risk to themselves or aren’t willing to play through pain as much as the previous generation. Except Mikal Bridges of course

Just for record keeping purposes.

Of the Top 50 scoring seasons of all time, Steph's 2021 season was the 30th of all time. Steph ranked 50th in free throw attempts on that list @ 6.27 per game. Next lowest is 7.6. There was only one more under 8.2.

This season Steph is 8th in scoring (if he had played enough games). He's 19th on the list of top 20 scorers for free throw attempts.

Sometimes its best to forget about our respective teams and think about nice things

For fun I looked at his other high scoring season in 2016 where it was the 77th highest scoring season of all time. He ranked 200/200 for the top 200 scoring seasons of all time for free throw attempts. His 2023 season would rank 198th.

Considering he's the man when it comes to end of game free throws (when the other team deliberately fouls) and shoots all the technical not so sure about him getting all the calls...

There's a bit of a misconception about the Warriors.

Ever since they started their ascent in 2012, they've finished in the bottom half of the league in free throw rate every season, excluding 2020 when they tanked the season with a skeleton roster. Frequently they've finished in the bottom-5 for free throw rate.

This season, the Dubs and Phoenix are far and away the least favoured teams when it comes to free throw discrepancy. They'd barely fit on a graph, they're so far behind the rest of the league.

Could buy the illegal screens, although that's more of a league-wide problem than a Warriors. Some players get called for them, others don't, which is maddening.

The calls seem random. Basically if the offensive player falls down.

Mike Bibby was my favourite player growing up during the early 2000s. I decided back then to follow the Kings.

Yep, pretty much.

Also depends on who is setting the screen. Some players are just good at getting away with it, similar to how some players are good at getting away with a push off on drives to the basket.

I believe he was interviewed on the Kings' telecast today, incidentally.

Speaking of screens, Aussie “powerhouse” Jock Landale (or Lawndale) pushed off from Steven Adams to catch an inbounds pass and was somehow strong enough to knock him over. Offensive foul.

More integrity at FIFA I reckon

So Hachimura......provides size and corner 3 ball ability. Reunites with Westbrook and Bryant.

Lakers and Washington performing business in a convivial manner.

Lakers giving back some 2nd rounders to the capital which was received in the westbrook trade.

Washington receive a known scorer and will assist Beal.

Sengun is so good

Should be being built around. Only 20 and has all the tools to be Jokic like but our moronic coach constantly complains about his defense and sits him constantly while having no issues with Jalen Green being a witches hat and his hero KPJ being a turnover king playing hero ball.

Same coach who thinks Sengun was only thinking "score, score score" in year one...

Dillon continues to endear himself to the NBA community

Who would have thought that refs may pay closer attention to a well known grubby player.

Also the way that quote reads is embarrassing, it honestly sounds like a 6 year old crying about it's parent being mean to them.

Also also what exactly is your 'natural game'? Injuring players and missing shots?
