Interesting what they point out/edit.
House 1's bathroom had some visible issues with paint finishes, and it wasn't commented on.
House 2's finishing wasn't as bad, and they did comment on it.
Really liked both of them, except the white toilet and that hideous, cheap looking sink in house 2. But I do totally agree that you can take risks in a detached studio.
Totally don't agree that house 3's bathroom was just "meh" and wouldn't make you feel one way or the other - gold chrome finishings are so old fashioned and tacky to me, I hate them so much.

Leah going to be a massive drama queen. There’s been heaps of examples of non white rooms. The twin boys from a couple of years ago loved dark colours.

The judges are still w***ers. Why does a guest bathroom in a guest suite have to make an emotional connection to the buyer? Utter crap. It just has to be well laid out, functional, and bright. Spend the money on the wow factors where it counts in the main living areas & bathrooms, not in a guest bathroom. Any contestant who spent over $20G on that bathroom wasted their money.
I did think house 1 had the best bathroom out of the lot, but the curved ceiling was lost on the TV. I didn't like House 2's dark bathroom. The others were OK. I think the crappy shower screens were just a product of not being able to get anything else that was better in a week. IIRC, they all had trouble getting screens.
So where was the bit about Scotty saying the rules have been broken? False advertising.

When you consider the budgets and the money spent this week, H1 already spent the prize, and H5 is behind the 8-ball spending 26k on an external studio bathroom.
What happened to Tom fixing the missing hole in Steph’s vanity?
While I don’t really like Steph they got stitched up with their builder, the producers found a builder for each couple, not a good advertisement for that builder. They obviously get someone new in the next episode. The whinger Leah got lucky with their builder, Dash. They are very good and we wanted to use them for our build this year but they said they were too busy. Now we know why.

Yeah obviously you need to take into account block bucks, and the extra money they get along the way. But 10% of your entire $$ budget on a guest bathroom is
