Interesting that they got a “sneak peak” at the first episode. Which also included lots of footage of the contestants hanging shit on H1 girls, who arrived half way through.

Classy way to concoct some drama.
I've been willing to give the show a bit of credit until now about the way they've edited it. But that was totally unnecessary and added absolutely nothing to the show, other than making all 10 contestants feel awkward as all f***

Worst episode of the series

This season has shown that The Block needs a huge overhaul in terms of casting, hosting, judging, and editing. Otherwise, I can see it being canceled within the next five years.
The concept is getting boring. For a long time, it was about getting bigger and more luxurious each year. But now it’s reached the point where they can’t keep going because it was pricing itself out and relying on idiot bidders seeking attention.

I don’t feel like I’ve seen anything this season that we haven’t seen before. Limiting them predominantly to sponsor’s products makes it all so same same, homogenous slop.

They used to be a bit more subtle with the McDonald's stuff, but this season, every episode features someone going to Maccas, using the drive-thru, using the app, or getting a McCafe coffee on-site. Then there are the many shots with people holding McCafe cups or they're in the background. The weird thing is there isn't a Macca's on Phillip Island. It's about 28 Km away on the Bass Highway.

+ The infomercials in Mitre 10 or some random Commonwealth bank employee showing up telling them how to use an app :roflv1:

Lol next 5 years. Honestly it will be a surprise if the show lasts 1 - 2 more.
You must remember the show is still smashing every other show ratings-wise in the same timeslot by a big margin. They won't cancel a show with huge ratings. Besides, I said WITHIN 5 years, so if it's two, I am still right. Your comment is basically agreeing with me. LOL

I get the feeling that now that the contestants have had a taste of what it will look like when the show's on TV and their poor behavior toward the girls has been highlighted, there's a whole lot of damage control going on. I don't think Mimi's attempts to make it right with the girls were genuine, especially after what she said to Kylie before the dinner.

It's possible that Kristian feels genuine guilt for how he treated the girls initially, especially after they helped him out a few times with trades. I do think Kristian is a decent guy.

Courtney & Grant were just there for FOMO, and the boys showed up just to shit stir.

Kylie, well, we know she'll never change.

After Daylesford it’s a reboot for me

1 partner must be a tradey

They get a dump to actually do it yourself; no outside help

And no new ad ons to existing buildings
I'm done after this season. I just have to follow through to the end lol. Real problem to be honest, probably why I finished game of thrones in the end as well.

Anyway, only a few weeks left ans then regardless of what they do next I'll be done.

In light of the housing crisis, a series where contestants must erect and style a tent seems in order.

Shaynna critiquing the positioning of the baked bean cans on the milk crate would be Logie winning stuff.
Having Marty praise a team on getting council approval for an additional window flap:

"That will benefit them come auction day, the fact that this tent has 2 parts to open for air to get in in genius and will set the apart from the tents"

Darren chimes in:
"Really thinking outside the 4 pieces of fabric called walls here"

Shaynna is not impressed, though:
"But with this extra air flap, they have compromised storage, bit mistake and buyers won't be inpressed"

My inner accountant is very interested to see where the reserves land now that we know the depreciable value of each house. It really does show how much of the material that goes into constructing the houses is provided on a contra basis. By my rough calculations, the H3 boys have collected the most additional cash (about $100k) which brings the total cash value to $350k. Not a whole lot when the depreciable value is over $4 million!
