I don't agree that positive news stories about Carlton receive as much attention as negative news does. There's more Richmond, Collingwood and Essendon (I should probably put St Kilda and Fremantle in here too, they wouldn't like to be left out) fans than there are just Carlton fans, and they like our misery more than we like positive press.

It's a fair call from Kane. Players are going to need to take unders or go elsewhere. Harry and Charlie 750-850 max. TDK 500 max.

Luckily our players have already shown a willingness to take unders. Many have been earning well for years playing in a garbage team. You would think they'd be hesitant to jump ship now just to get a few extra bucks on their next contract.

TDK is the one I think we would be most likely to lose. Someone could make him a big offer based on potential. We can't afford to pay players on potential anymore and I would think Harry and Charlie are more important for our structure.

This probably stemmed from the Luke Jackson discussion, and on Sunday Kane-o said if Jackson is worth a $1M a season then why not TDK e.g. similar athletic players

Dunstall is my favourite footy panelist - insightful and intellligent. Unfortunately he seldom seems to do those shows.

The 2-week period last year when Dunstall was filling in for Robbo on AFL 360 were the two best weeks of the show ever. Suddenly Whately seemed like the dumb one.

Vossy having to sit through Robbo's ridiculous suggestions without somehow bursting out laughing - like that suspended players should serve their allotted suspension only against the club they committed the offence against.

So In Tom Stewart's case, let's say he got a 5 week suspension, he could potentially miss a grand final vs Richmond in 2026 due to a 2022 suspension. He is an absolute **** nutcase and he was being serious.

I mean if you suggested that to a bunch of your pissed mates at the pub they'd still have the brain cells to laugh you out of the joint - but this is live television! How Vossy and Nicks kept a straight face while both politely telling him he was full of shit, I will never know.

Just such an embarrassment to our game that guys like him and K.Cornes are the new standard in media.

But I can never remember a time where Jason dunstall was a dog
And every legend has a dog of a day
Yet I can every remember him being a prick
I have so much adoration for dunstall it’s not funny
I love the guy !

Happy teams stick together, salaries are juggled with front end and back end options, and clubs in the window don't tend to lose players that they are not happy to lose. Voss has the place happy, you can see examples during every game, interview, tweet. Personalities are one thing, but our players seem to genuinely enjoy each others company and want the spoils of success to be shared. It's for this reason and the fact we are knocking on successes door, that I don't believe we will see any player that is needed leave.

Look at how well Cerra, Hewett, and Young have settled in, they already seem to bleed blue, dare I say it we are a desitnation club, and it's not our players that will leave, but opposition players will want to come here and they will take unders to be part of it. Nothing breeds winning culture, like winning and the smiles will just broaden and others will want to be part of the party.

no way TDK is over 800k.

Charlie and Harry are the only players that can command 1mill.

This will test the culture, if they are willing to take cuts and the club will look after them post career.

We killed it in 2015 and it changed the course of our club. The only other player we wouldn’t have been disappointed if he went #1 was Clayton Oliver and although Oliver is a good bloody player, Jacob Weitering is the higher need in 2022 and beyond. And looking further afield to Harry and Charlie’s selections, that was just good luck on both counts. 5 clubs (2 Victorian) could have selected both Harry and Charlie before us (Brisbane selected the Victorian Schache)

Not only are some of those figures in the “existing contracts” side over but McGovern conveniently left off, he expires after next year.
