Simple. Your logic is clubs who changed names = good guys. Clubs who didn't = baddies. Very childish.
And yet not wrong.

For the people that argue that changing the club's name Is tokenistic, then why do other clubs refrain from it if it's as easy and effortless as all that?

The fact remains that the so-called Big 4 have had ample opportunity to do something symbolic for people that have made their clubs a success, but instead chose to remain silent.

Just out of curiosity, anyone know how much influence the waste product has on the measured pollution levels for coal powered energy? Not going to make it suddenly green but still should make a difference when that's reduced drastically.

There's a magnesium smelting company that is using fly ash and ferro nickel slag as feedstock to produce magnesium now. Interesting stuff.

What's this got to do with the price of fish?

Half the pages in this thread are a shitfight about fossil fuels and green energy, so I guess my post about pollution levels from coal power plants might be connected to that in some way?

*ing Einstein over here.

You see, that's where you went wrong, you used logic.

If you want to get respekt around here just throw a handful of shit at 'em and run.

Okay, I've had to buy into this, even though it bores me to tears.

Has it ever occurred to the dimwits on this forum that the clubs who didn't change names was because they had no name to change to? Clubs would have been engulfed by the Melbourne area, so they would have also had to change their name to Narrm. You would have had Narrm v Narrm in some cases.

Sorry to destroy people who see everything as racist these days, but it's just not the case in this situation.

I'd rather step on my own dick than be respekted by the majority of bay posters these days.

You have only destroyed your panties thinking this was a good point.

Clubs have a lot of options available to them if they research and use their imaginations. But they don’t want to try that much because they just don’t care.

I’m sorry you support one of the most racist clubs in the country.

I'm sorry that indigenous recognition bores you to tears, and yes I had considered that not every club has a name that can be changed.

So I did what you should have done:

Alfred Howitt recorded the Kulin/Woiwurrung name for Richmond as Quo-yung with the possible meaning of 'dead trees'

The area now known as Collingwood is thought to have been named Yálla-birr-ang by the Wurundjeri people, the original Indigenous inhabitants of the area.

Etc etc
