We have failed to invest in 2 things since our flag

1. forwards with craft
2. Talent from other clubs

These guys think we are a reject or 2 from other clubs or a VFL player away from another flag.

To be fair, even if we had taken a mark or 2, it’s not like we would have kicked the goal based on our lack of focus on goal kicking over the summer.

Our only way to get goals is to either fluke it or walk-it in from 2m out.

Who needs goals when you got contest and defence.

Imagine going from using a ruckman as a forwards coach, to taking your only decent line coach, who was a defender and putting them up forward to. Instead of you know, finding someone who actually has played as a forward.

It’s like we ran out of defenders to play in every position so we are now trying to inject defenders in every line of the coaching panel to.

Oh moving Chaplin was the height of Goody's stupidity. Now the backline looks flaky and the forward line is still shit.

I thought about this a little bit more and if course this was what happened. If Gawn had actually said to Goody yeah I'm struggling wanna mention it post game for me he shouldn't be captain anymore.

i have no doubt this stems from the club's motto of more love, this is a coach trying to show his love for Gawn in a completely misdirected way.

More alarming than that is we are now 5-12 since mid last year.

What im worried about is that we have an easy draw coming off last year and players to come back, doomsday scenario that I can see nuffy Green falling for is we finish the year alright just missing finals after starting slow ... "Goody never lost the players, we'd be mad to sack him"

Yeah I'm worried too. The style we play I still think wins enough games to keep him around. We'll do enough to keep people around

Gawn spoke on MMM this morning and it's exactly what you said.

Reckon they'll be forced when the crowds and members really start drying up.
