Re: Why the current Saints team will NOT win a premiership

You have been caught out on yet another untruth.

Surely you were aware that Michael Voss the player was in the same situation as Jarryd Allen. I'm sure there are many more examples around the league. Voss was the one I could think of, of the top of my head.

Yet you said

And when called on it you deflect again.

Did someone call you KissStephanie's apprentice?

He's certainly not the sourcerer's apprentice.

Re: Why the current Saints team will NOT win a premiership

Part 35

The decision to recruit Andrew Krakouer was a good one as we won the 2010 flag, the decison to recruit Ryan Gamble however was not as you did not.

Everything is relative.

The Collingwood Premiership 22 was the youngest one since the 1978 Hawthorn model.

If anything, adding exp. to a very young list is a positive.

Conversely, looking at St. Kilda's 22, it doesn't have an abundance of young players. Adding a player who was delisted for his playing capabilities is a negative.

You can do better.

I'm well aware that all decisions are positive when made by Collingwood.

Leigh Brown keeping Josh Fraser out is not a negative.

Let's be honest, both teams have turned their recruiting towards the mature end of the scale once their windows of opportunity had been deemed open.

Quite the contrary.

Collingwood lost Fraser, Medhurst, Lockyer, O'Bree & co last year. Their list got quite a deal younger.

A key point you have overlooked with Krakour is that the pick he was exchanged for came with a young player. He was effectively a "bonus" of a trade that killed 2 birds with one stone.

Conversely, the likes of Gamble & Polo were at the expense of draft picks on their own.

I didn't realise you were recruiting them, my bad.

Re: Roo - People are trying to break us down.

How is it a stuff up? Lyon quite rightly refused an insultingly poor offer from Collingwood and then Ball walked to Collingwood for nothing when he had an offer on the table from St Kilda. Not Lyon's fault that Ball didn't want to do the hard work to earn a spot in the team and took the easy option of a guaranteed spot at Collingwood.

Love the bolded parts they are just a perfect example that the Saints "ït's someone else's fault" philosophy is ingrained in the supporters as well.

St Kilda was offered some fair trades, not spectacular at the time but in hindsight very good. It is publicly reported and quoted from Ross Lyon that Pies offered pick #25 + pick #62 for Luke Ball - Collingwood was getting pick #25 by trading Sharrod Wellingham + pick #30 to North Melbourne and they jumped all over it as they rated Sharrod but Saints knocked back the pick #25 + #62 option. I think it's obvious that if Pies offered to trade Sharrod + pick #30 to North to get pick #25 + throw in their pick #62 for Saints then they would have been just as happy to give Saints Sharrod Wellingham + pick #30 + pick #62 to get the same result. Ross Lyon was in the room and knocked it back (Malthouse was not he is the coach and leaves trades to the experts - take a lesson there Ross). BTW you picked Jesse Smith at #60 we picked Ben Sinclair at #62 and Josh Thomas at #75 both looking very nice thank you. Is that the medias fault as well?

On the second bolded part how could any Saints supporter seriously say that Luke Ball didn't want to work hard. He bled for the club, was a former captain, B&F winner and All Australian. One of the most respected players in the AFL. If you can find one St Kilda player who will say a bad word about him i would be shocked. He just came top 5 in the B&F in a premiership team, do you think he didn't do the "hard work"? If your correct and he didn't want to work hard at St Kilda but clearly did at Collingwood what does that say about your club?

You cant fix the problem until you admit it. I hope you never do and spoon #27 is a lot closer than flag #2.

BTW once again great deflection from the OP and your clubs repeated denials that there is any problem in the player group. Great teams are honest with themselves, your team is potentially great but the clock is ticking or they become (or more accurately continue to be) a funny footnote in history.

Re: Roo - People are trying to break us down.

Lovett missed a career for being bad.

Are you seriously suggesting the same punishment apply to players missing a curfew as to players crashing a car whilst 3 times over the league limit?

Particularly when said curfew players actually admitted they were there

Perspective required.

Just breaching curfew was it? Seem to have forgotten the alcohol and sleeping tablets then have we. Hey if your happy your players are out on the turps sucking back illegal drugs then tahts fine. And yes they are illegal unless they arte prescribed to the person. And if they were prescribed then WTF!! your club doctor needs to be sacked immediately. With every comment I read of yours Falchoon you make a fool of yourself, but please keep it up, I'm having a great laugh over all of this.

My club has had its issues yes and the best thing did especially with Didak and Shaw was throw the book at them big time. That was the first steps to a premiership among other things.

ST KILDA launch an internal investigation over brawl allegation

Seems Gilbert had been questioned over the brawl and urination allegation but it never occured to St Kilda to question any other players even though the allegation was that it involved a large group of them. Now the press has followed up and the Saints decide they are launching an internal investigation. How thorough!

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/vi...-face-trip-probe/story-e6frf7kx-1226000535331

ST KILDA has launched an internal investigation into allegations of players urinating in the street and fighting in New Zealand, with every Saint on the infamous trip to face questioning.

The Herald Sun had asked the club if it was satisfied none of the players on the camp had urinated in public or been involved in a street scuffle.

She said Riewoldt and Gilbert were the only players interviewed so far.

The Herald Sun has spoken with all three witnesses to the alleged stoush and can reveal:

Re: ST KILDA launch an internal investigation over brawl allegation

So after all the denials....oh Shit we better investigate this.....

Foot in mouth, now saints supporters what do you say?

Do you need changes at the top?

Should heads roll?

Re: ST KILDA launch an internal investigation over brawl allegation

Roo was right about folks wanting to bring the club down... it's just sad some of them appear to be his team mates

A night club running a football team.

Re: ST KILDA launch an internal investigation over brawl allegation

We are ow two weeks down the track from these incidents and after ALL of the posturing by the saints about how they acted swiftly and they"were in a good place" about the urinating and bashing.

They now decide we better have an investigation maybe our players arent telling us the truth.

Come on Saints Apologists, we are waiting for your deflections.

bolded words were statement by Ross ( foot in mouth) Lyon, was he lied to or did he try to LIE again?

Re: ST KILDA launch an internal investigation over brawl allegation

Jesus what are the Saints meant to do to please the masses on here???

Yes an incident happened over there involving an alleged brawl with Gilbert etc and it is not the first time it has happened with AFL players wont be the last.

If the Saints don't have an internal investigation they are canned on here and then they do and threads like this are started dominated by Pie supporters.

Re: ST KILDA launch an internal investigation over brawl allegation

investigation???

more like a cover up!

the article proves Gilbert was guilty.

Everyone knows he is guilty..

St Kilda handle another incident badly.

Re: Roo - People are trying to break us down.

My first two bolded quotes stand.

Sharrod Wellingham was never offered to St Kilda. Quoting the muppet journos at the Hun isn't a credible source either.

The only "insult' involved in the Ball trade from start to finish was Ross Lyon;s handling of Ball.
With every new detail which emerges of the insular fiefdom he has tried to create it's obvious he has made some glaring errors of judgement, on Ball, the appointment of leaders and now his much vaunted "Bubble'.
This revolves around a manufactured "Us against the World" attitude which, from when it first began to collapse early in 2010, has been exposed as a sham.
Now that the "theory" seems to have run off the rails completely it is not the Club, the coach or the players who are answerable for their actions but the "world outside the bubble" which has, apparently maliciously, been responsible for their behaviour?

It's starting to sound like a religious cult to be honest.
