Such noble sentiments; seeking revenge upon the deaths members of your family

A scenario to consider: the wife announces that she wishes a divorce because she has formed another relationship and will move interstate with her new partner and the children. Access will only be determined after a long and costly Court battle

The life partner is gone and, for all intents and purposes, the children will grow up with another father.

Do you want to kill the wife or her partner with which she cuckolded? Who's going to to the dad for the kids cause their standard head sentence for murder is 25 years.

Death of a marriage and death of the relationship with the kids and the kids are in the house?

Don't think this scenario doesn't happen, minor variations of this is the cause a number of DV murders annually
There's no comparison. Your kids are still alive and, if you're not a ****wit, will want some sort of relationship with you.

A scenario for you good sir;

Someone says they are going to kill your family.

They have the means to do it.

They are about to do it...

You have a rifle....

Do you kill them to protect your family?

Wrong thread mate...

Wasn’t addressing you
Clearly you should kill them, then their families, their friends, everyone they've ever known. Then the people on the same street, the street next door, everyone they've ever done business with, shared a road with, noticed the same nice sunset over the ocean etc etc.

However ****ed up it sounds I respect that alot more than relying on the death penalty.

With apologies I gave you short answers.

Context: I have lived in nations and found it uncomfortable they have the death penalty. State should never have that power. It's too much and it's contradictory.

Personally I do not have 100% control of my emotions so in a hypothetical situation where someone has killed my wife or children out of malice, not accident then yes I would end them. Also in that situation I would be 99% sure they're in custody so wouldn't be able to anyway.

There are some disgusting people that deserve death for their crimes, I just find it very hard to put that decision in government hands.
