He's been down for a few weeks, and by that I mean he stopped kicking goal of the year every week. How good was it for port to play him back into form? Like clockwork, he kills them every time.

I was going to start a thread about legacy. Bit early I know, he will have played more games for Carlton, and maybe kicked more goals for them too.
But there is almost no doubt he will be fondly remembered as a Crow. He came to us in a time of need, we had just been through Tippett-gate and moved to a new stadium, and here comes this 'overpaid small forward' from Carlton who immediately turned Adelaide on its head. He even saved us after the horror of losing the greatest ever sports player in history.
This guy has been the type of bloke this club has needed on and off field. 300 game career coming and hopefully a flag.

I've now lost count of the amount of times Eddie has made me laugh at the ridiculous stuff he manages to pull off on the football field on a weekly basis.

Part of me was worried that maybe his appendix was actually the source of his powers, and removing it would be like cutting off Sampson's hair.
Luckily nothing to worry about - if anything, removing it may have given him a bit of a boost in terms of improving his power to weight ratio.

Some of the stuff he does on the footy field is just "how the F did he do that?!"....especially in the wet yesterday! He absolutely LOVES playing the mob from Port. He just comes alive against them!

At the ground, I thought it was a bullshit call. Watched a replay since and Harlett's did touch it with his left hand. He got enough of it to count it as a behind. If that was called a goal, Eddie would have wrapped up the goal of the year again.

Fair enough... It certainly looked like bullshit at the ground.
I just hate that for the last hundred years these were goals. And now suddenly they're not.
I was asking the same thing and Derwayne said it went through the behinds.
How did you pass that test to be a policeman again ? Obviously sight wasn't tested.
Eddie is just a delightful human being - loved the footage of him confined to barracks after his surgery dancing around in front of the telly cheering the boys on.

I've been known to say something similar, fairly often. I mean you'd think the stuff he pulls off is a fluke. But how can it be, when it's every week. Multiple times per match. I've been watching since the club started - I've never seen anything like it.
When he kicked that amazing dribbled goal from his pocket, I spilled my chardonnay, dropped a stitch and almost banged on the fence I was so excited.
What an amazing footballer. Hope he can go another five years.
