Just got great depth and classy players over the whole ground. Well coached, and injuries have been kind to them so far. With Port Adelaide and Hawthorn stumbling early, the Dockers should be short-priced favourites to take their first ever flag.
I know everyone will say you dont win the premiership in May, but they will in September this year, as much as i hate to say it.
This almost has to be their year. They are looking really at the best I've seen. There are a couple of teams who may have a say, I think Hawks will be geared up for them , but three in a row is a very hard task.
For Freo I think to get a score on the board is definitely this year, or into the doldrums for a while again.
But it is only May and the heavy duty Melbourne weather has yet to come , and Sydney, Port and Hawthorn have yet to hit their straps, there could be a couple of other clubs vying for a spot.
Pav is looking like a good player, and seems to be moving better as well. I have always had my doubts about Pav, when the chips are down , but he looks OK at the moment.
Fremantle are also in that stage where their players are hardened and older and have all got full game engines, that is the key, the youngsters take a few years to be able to keep up the running, which is everything in footy wins.
If you can't keep up with your opponent you cannot challenge for a thing.
Freo are on the track believe me!
