Just got great depth and classy players over the whole ground. Well coached, and injuries have been kind to them so far. With Port Adelaide and Hawthorn stumbling early, the Dockers should be short-priced favourites to take their first ever flag.

I know everyone will say you dont win the premiership in May, but they will in September this year, as much as i hate to say it.

This almost has to be their year. They are looking really at the best I've seen. There are a couple of teams who may have a say, I think Hawks will be geared up for them , but three in a row is a very hard task.

For Freo I think to get a score on the board is definitely this year, or into the doldrums for a while again.

But it is only May and the heavy duty Melbourne weather has yet to come , and Sydney, Port and Hawthorn have yet to hit their straps, there could be a couple of other clubs vying for a spot.

Pav is looking like a good player, and seems to be moving better as well. I have always had my doubts about Pav, when the chips are down , but he looks OK at the moment.

Fremantle are also in that stage where their players are hardened and older and have all got full game engines, that is the key, the youngsters take a few years to be able to keep up the running, which is everything in footy wins.

If you can't keep up with your opponent you cannot challenge for a thing.

Freo are on the track believe me!

News flash: no one gives two shits about freo in Melb. In fact most Victorian neutrals went for freo in 2013.

You're barking up the wrong tree
Newsflash, no-one in the country gives a shit about St Kilda - the most unsuccessful club in VFL/AFL history. Not even people in your own state.
Will losing to the dogs be a wake up call or just a hiccup?
congrats on jinxing your team ;)

Barely getting over a very young bulldogs.

Cant pencil any team in this year

What do you mean? Fremantle were in full control of that match. Apparently they're taking the foot off the pedal every game according to Docker Alyssa .

We were poor for most of the game, the difference is though we can still beat the dogs regardless, unlike the Swans.

Ouch. That would hurt if I actually wanted to troll Freo, which I don't, so you'll forgive me if I don't engage in these meaningless 'no your team is shitter' fights that go nowhere.
I just came here to point out how ludicrous some of the posts by a certain poster in this thread have been.

If you actually watched the game, it followed the same script as previous Freo performances through the year so far - smash the opposition early, and cruise the rest of the way.

Freo's midfield gone up another level so this doesn't surprise me too much.

It's not just goal output, though. He's putting up better numbers in every single statistical category, while essentially playing 20 minutes less per game. Pretty amazing thing to do for any player, especially one of his age.

Then again they were 14.4 and had 25-11 in free kicks. They were playing like men possessed and could have knocked off any team today on their home deck. Still wish this thread didn't exist.

It'll come back to bite them if its become a habit. Almost did today - against an experienced contender they'll be put away.

Well they've "gotten away with it" against Sydney already. Just have to wait and see, I suppose.

Too many seem to be trying to pick flaws in what was a solid win where the Dockers were clearly superior, though.

hehehehe someones upset

yes a freo flag makes victorians sick in the gutts. reality is victorians actually move towards freo as a neutral team, because they havent been seen as a threat until recently, likewise they havent won a flag against a victorian club

compare the hate directed at sydney, brisbane and even GWS to freo

The dockers put them to 35 early, then to 23 at 3/4 time.

Doggies never got in front much less were ahead like that at any time. It turned into a tight contest late in the game, much the same as swans and port came at us it could be argued.

But we always answer because we control tempo once we put daylight to a team and have the discipline to turn it back on and showed that. It is a consistency of outcome. You guys want this to be a "lesson" that every team is fallible this season. But ignoring the daylight we put to the dogs twice.

Question to the naysayers, did the dockers look tired 3-5 mins post siren?? Looks like they could have played another 30 mins comfortably.

Dockers were challenged
But it just seemed inevitable that they would win when the scores were tied

Essendon 2000 Geelong 2007 feel about their campaign
It's going to occur
