Can't wait for Jordan Bon Jonesy and Angus Brayshaw to lead our midfield for the next 6-7 years :rainbow:

Gus has actually been pretty good of late, he's shut me up ....for now.

Can honestly say I haven't noticed him that much, which is usually a good thing as it means he's not launching the ball into row 18 with regularity. Maybe midifield is good for him as it's the widest part of the ground and keeps him far away from the boundary, lol.

He's not as much of a whipping boy for me when Jordon is in the team. Once Jordon's out again, I'm sure usual service will resume

Kinda relevant here because it means keeping Petty forward, in the last 3 years Tomlinson has been the 5th hardest player to beat in one on one contests, and won the second most of any player per game. If we can get him up and going properly and give May more freedom I'm seeing a much better defence

How about when he played on from the 50m penalty, strolled to 50 and then kicked it out on the full. 🦀

His disposal has been much better.
Nah I don't even think it has at all, what he has been doing though is smothering, tackling and doing that nitty gritty shit that made him good in 21

Absolutely. If he stays in the team for the remainder of the year, it'll be interesting to see what he does in the offseason – was certain he'd be gone a few weeks back.

Hope we keep him now, as he's better than other options that will cost draft capital/salary cap space.

That made me swear at the TV. Had visions of him kicking that goal on half time for some reason. Teach me for believing in him.

I still remember him being billed as a Sam Mitchell type due to the way he could kick the ball equally well on both sides. Turns out it was half-right: equally shit on both sides :straining:

He's had way less howlers but it might just be because he's got easier kicks in front of him with the way we're setting up.

His pressure has been really good, and his work at clearance. Big reason for our clearance turn around imo.

At least Melks was dead straight just decided to kiss the thing instead of smack it, Gus nearly missed his ****ing foot

Him and Viney are working well together, helps not having a ginger drug failure vacuuming up everything

i agree, i reckon Brayshaws big body takes it's physical toll on the oppo as well.
a few times in the last qtr vs the Tigers, Taranto went up against Gus at the contest and Taranto looked well beaten, like he didn't have the strength left to compete. Gus just brushed him aside and then impacted the contest.
he cops some shit around here for looking overweight but he runs out games pretty strongly.

Maybe the gamestyle is suiting them all. So they know what to do intuitively. eg: the forwards are working like forwards, and there's space, so the mids can choose the best option.?

sadly this says a lot Scy.

****.

Will need another tall forward if Petty is out for the finals, can’t ruck your #1 KPF.

Tempted to play Schache tbh. Just lead at the ball and let JVR, Melksham, Fritsch have the forward line

Tom Sparrow ffs.

This Is Fine GIF

****ing sucks Petty won't be there, but I think the major difference going forward compared to when we looked puss is the form of Kozzie and Chandler, as long as they keep going okay I think we'll be fine.

The thing that annoys me is we knew we had a key forward problem heading into the trade period last year and we did absolutely nothing about it. Fast forward 9 months and we're in the exact same situation.

Is Josh Schache going to pull a Tom Boyd in your finals run with the Petty injury and Ben Brown looking old?

I admit I went a little whacky for Schache in his first year with us. Then he went a bit loopy (and a bit poopy) at the Dogs. I havent much VFL (outside Lions). How is he tracking?
