The "Final 8 + Richmond" already set

As much as I love Richmond promising so much and deliver so very little year in and year out it's hard to see them missing the finals so all I can say is good luck to em when they get there.

Tiges should make the 8
They've got an easy draw, I reckon Hawks and Swannies, (and maybe Freo at the G) will be tough games for the Tiges, with every other game being winnable for the rest of this year.

But you gotta admit the team we have now is as good as 94/95 with more scope for improvement.

I think the "promising so much and deliver so very little year in and year out" cycle is about to be broken.

10 from memory to win you the game and something like 7 or 8 for us (all singles I think).

I hated Richo that day, but in an awe struck kind of way.
Line him up on a dry track, with no wind 30 metres out and he couldn't hit shit to save himself most days. But one of the worst wet, windy days at the SCG and he alone clunked every mark, hit every target and booted a lazy 70% of his teams goals.

He must've drove your lot nuts over the years with that!

Put it this way - I'd be more confident of him sinking one from 55m out on the boundary than 15m out, straight in front :D

Somehow with his erratic kicking, still kicked 800 career goals :thumbsu:

Nothing that hasn't already attracted 64 threads, and over 10,000 posts in the past month alone ;)

Just noticed!

How the feck did you get so many posts in such a short amount of time lol?

I'd happily take 6th if offered to us. Yes we are not far off (points wise) from the teams above us and we still are yet to play our best stuff IMO but the reality is we haven't fired against a team above us yet. We need to take a scalp to be taken seriously. I think we can and should play finals this year but until we prove we can beat the best the competition has to offer, then talk of a top 4 finish is premature (especially when a lot of us would have been happy to scrape into the 8 at the start of the year!).

If we find our best form though, the teams above us will start to look over their shoulders with a bit more concern :thumbsu:

This is because the team he follows has an unfair advantage over the rest of the competition, nicely packaged and marketed by the AFL as a 'woe is me I'm on $300k a year and Sydney is so expensive' reason to artificially keep them in the top 8 year after year and somehow win over the entire NRL market.

If Port beat the pies this week would be two games between 8th and 9th - pretty much the eight would be set if that eventuates
