I was just thinking this. I've found myself more hooked on arrow than flash. Have you watched legends? Worth watching? I'm not even gonna ask about supergurl

Legends is definitely the pick of the bunch for mine. Little to no C.W romantic interests, not bound to a single time period, solid cast and writing and the best goofs and gaffs of all the shows.

I feel like Arrow is severely limited by Felicity and the flashbacks, while Flash is still limited after three seasons by using Barry's super speed poorly to give villains the upper edge in a fight when Barry could just apprehend them instantly.

I don't have a big issue with this. I do have a big issue with the way the show constantly hits the same beats. e.g. almost every arc involves some form of characters keeping secrets and trying to 'go it alone', failing, then getting a pep talk from someone about believing in oneself and the value of teamwork. It's not only boring and predictable, but undercuts character development to have them learning the same lessons over and over. It also makes the conflict feel very manufactured and contributes to the show feeling unnecessarily angsty. I sort of gave the show away around the time of the Savitar reveal, and will probably find it difficult to return unless they can bring back the fun silver-age feel of the first season.

Also don't get me started on the compulsion to make every season have a big bad speedster and an enemy in disguise. It worked well for the first season but FFS stop flogging a dead horse.

Pretty sure flash now has a week off followed by a two part gorilla city eps.

I just checked and you are correct. This pleases me as I will be in Bali next week and won't be able to watch any shows until I get home.

This was the main reason I only collected the main story arcs or crossovers in the comic books, the flash is just too powerful to be able to keep consistent and diverse stories going on earth like against a human with an explosive boomerang. With Superman, Green Lantern and others that rely on physical power, they had a lot of their adventures in space because they could come up against super alien foes they could stand toe to toe with but the flash is still just flesh and bone and can't really hold his own against a Darkseid unless he runs back in time and kills Darkseid at a moment of weakness, eg when first created (born).

Am I the only one starting to lose interest in the Flash? Never thought I'd say it but LoT is by far my favourite show on CW, I've cracked it with Arrows writing and Flash just isn't appealing to me. Kinda annoyed me that they revealed the whole Savitar/Iris thing so early on.

I'll keep watching but just feel like it has lost the magic it had in season 1 (I thought season 2 was average honestly).

Yea I agree to some degree. I still enjoy flash but not as much much as before. I thought the first few eps were awsome. Then has slowly gotten more predictable as the season wore on. I am loving Arrow though.

My only thought would be, because the revealed who Alcamy was and that he was being controlled by Savatar and giving Earth 1 people powers from their flashpoint lives but that story line wound up quickly and Savatar was still the villian. The writers would need to add into the story a reason why he is still the villain.

Don't get me wrong its very annoying every decision they now make is whether they can "change the future and prevent Iris' death"

It will get to the point were barry wakes up and can't decide if he wants coco pops or corn flakes for breakfast because it may change the future and stop Savatar from killing Iris.

We get it its team flash like it is team arrow but does Barry need to stand there taking instructions during a fight just so the others can have worth. Ffs he has been doing this for a while now. Anyway the show has gone to shit this season seems the good writers from Berlantis crew have gone back arrow.

Flash has gone super cringeworthy.
Iris, Barry, Jesse, Caitlin, Cisco, Joe. Wally

Julian and the real Wells are probably the least cringe worthy.

What are they doing?
