Also, CAN WE PLEASE GET THE WE ARE ESSENDON CHANT GOING!? Every week I see people just staring like stunned mullets when they hear murmers of it. This has the potential to be one of the greatest and most intimidating chants around if people get on board!
Better than that collingwood droning that makes me want to inject end it

Won't happen - everything on the banner has to be approved by the AFL. Doesn't stop every Essendon supporter from making your own banners! They WILL be taken off you but get them on live TV (even if it Fox). I'm thinking something designed around - AFL, ASADA, ALP, AGE = Axis of EVIL or

I know nothing too out there can be put on the banner, but some sort of subtle message about figting until the end would be good.

I believe the precedent with 'provocative' banners was set in 1996.

It was the week after Fitzroy's demise was confirmed, I believe. They were playing Collingwood at Victoria Park, and produced a banner stating:

Seduced by North
r*ped by Brisbane
****ed by the AFL

After the game, Fitzroy were applauded off the arena by the Collingwood members; which, to put it lightly, just did not occur at Victoria Park. Like, ever.

The whole thing was a PR disaster for the AFL and they pretty much vowed it would never, ever happen again. Mobbenfuhrer, did Fitzroy get in official trouble for that?

It was a quite wonderful act of defiance, even if in vain. The point was well made.

I haven't often had nice things to say about the Collingwood cheer squad, but that really is to their eternal credit.
