299 is looking ridiculous. Thirteen fights announced and at least 10 I'm pumped for. There's plenty to come for 300, but just in terms of names for 299 and 298, would be very hard to top either.

Edit: Had another look at 298; there's no way 300 is going to be better.
Leon/Yan are meh. Jiri and Charles I always watch no matter but 2 of the 3 title fights I have zero interest in. 300 is bog average to me and I struggle to think what other matchups they put on to stack it now

Hunt lost his lawsuit against UFC Brock didn’t he. How can you lose that when Lesna juiced ? Sadly he’s fighting for a pay day in BN.

On iPhone using BigFooty.com mobile app
He was earning very well from his 2nd ufc contract onwards. Got paid well in Pride too

Believe he has 2x 800k fights at a minimum plus everything else. He shouldn't need a pay day

But yes, still exactly what hes doing. Sad tbh

299 looks incredible, 298 a very good event as well. 300 looks shit right now
2 boring as **** title fights.

Starting to think the UFC actually doesn't care about 300 being a massive event at the top and might just stack it top to bottom. More of a card for hardcore's than casuals

300 looks like a fight night card

200 was a bit like that. Headlined by Meisha Tate of all people (after Jones popped), but filled with great fights from the opener.

Garbrandt vs Figgy is a nice addition to 300. You look through the names on 298 and 299 and think there can't be anyone left, but the UFC roster is enormous now and I think it will fill out nicely.

Can’t believe we’re almost at 300. I had been watching the UFC for years and remember when it finally got to 100.

I remember watching Anderson destroy Franklin using the Thai clinch from memory. GSP lose to Serra And so many others.

Original TUF got me started From memory.

There aren't many casuals in this thread, but good to see a few of us are a bit more "old school". I did Judo from a young age so always had an interest in martial arts, but it was a random late night watching Pride Final Conflict that got me hooked:

Fedor vs Cro Cop
Shogun vs Overeem then Arona (after beating Wanderlei)
Nakamura vs Vovchanchyn
Werdum vs Zentsov

Been chasing that high ever since. UFC 100 rolled around about 4 years later, so I was well and truly obsessed by that point. Here we are 15 (!) years later, and while I have a lot of problems with how the company is run, I'm bloody happy it's still around and thriving.

I don't know about you guys but for some reason I like Johnny Walker. I want him to do well.

That's why I didn't bother staying up for the fight this time, I had a feeling that would happen.

Where does he go from here?

32 years old, has been knocked out at least five times in pro fights (some say he was KOd four times in one fight alone).

Perhaps a move to HW might be fruitful but it seems more likely he'll just get hurt even worse.

If the contract isn't very juicy, then surely he has to look at other paths in life now.

He'll keep doing what he's doing. He'll win a few, lose a few. He'll get paid well enough to keep fighting in the ufc... for a while longer at least.

He's talked about HW for a long time, including pretty firm plans recently. He's very well-liked, game, and entertaining to his own detriment. Heavyweight wouldn't be good for his health, but I'm not sure he's too worried about that.
