I was very skeptical she could even make 135 but apparently has done a test cut. I wouldn’t think she will have too much trouble beating holm. Hopefully nunes comes back because that’s really the only fight I want to see and I think she will struggle consistently making weight

Doesn’t say much for the future of female FW division, or maybe there was no big enough name for her at 14# (I’m not sure I could name a women’s featherweight these days)

It’s possible also that Holm said she’d take the fight but only at 135, I wouldn’t blame her for that either

She'll probably weigh in 5-6 pound over, they'll make it a catchweight and she will win.

Dropping two divisions is massive, especially for a woman. She's pretty bulky so all that muscle will have to go.

Yeah I suspect she cuts weight to make 155 even. I believe she’s fought at 145 once a few years ago. Anyway I’m sure she wouldn’t have signed unless she knew she could make the weight, would probably have been the main discussion point.

3 is pretty standard for a card tbf. Thats certainly enough though
Standard yeah, 300 isn't supposed to be standard though. Combined with Leon and belal that'll be 4 fights I skip on that card already

So what's the problem?
All 3 of the women's fights are cool. Holly is the only slight let down, imo.
They aren't. Seeing Andrade for the 50th time in the last month meh

Kayla Harrison has no interest for me

This is supposed to the most epic card of the decade. Not hitting those marks for me

Thought there was a card today, bugger

Surely Conor/Nate cant be the headliner?

Also, Leon isnt confirmed for 300. UFC tweeted out the card and he wasnt listed so thats a positive. Suspect they try Izzy/DDP or Conor/Chandler

Not because of Connors wank tweet but I do think it'll be Conor with Izzy ddp as a backup option. Think they'll announce it on 298 or something like they tried to do with brock and hunt

Conor would smack the **** out of Diaz these days. Diaz is as washed as anyone.

Coked up v washed up, sounds watchable to me.

On an undercard of course.

You just don't know how Conor will go after this layoff and the way he's partied during it, it's very unknown
Underdog odds, which would be likely, on Diaz would be a sizeable bet. Conor post all that plus leg break, no chance.

In the time off he's partied, shot a movie, steroids/bulked, made a stout brean/company. None of that sounds conducive to winning

I'd be very surprised if he came back looking capable of beating anyone in the top 20. Diaz wouldn't be top 20 any more but he's got a chin, cardio, punching combos (if he actually throws), and subs. Perfect for Conor

I agree, problem is he's a main eventer so the UFC's only option is to give him washed up legends

Diaz wins through cardio if he actually decides to throw punches. With Conors 'bulking' and partying, he wouldn't last 10 mins in a fight before he's breathing through his arse looking for a way out
2 minutes, tops.

Right and Conor's been fighting who in the last 7 years? Lol

Since Alvarez (his GOAT performance IMO) he's gone 1-3, the win against Cerrone who said he didn't want to be there after the fight and the other three finishes.

To be fair those three losses were to Khabib and Poirier twice, so not like he was fighting cans.

Also 1-3 is his record at 155. I don't think his power carries over, he hit Poirier with some nice shots and Poirier took them

McGregor since 2018 1-3
Diaz since 2018 2-2 (Pettis and Ferguson wins, Edwards and Masvidal losses).

If we’re just doing form in the last 6ish years pretty strong argument Diaz is better.

I loved Conor, man changed the sport (although I don’t think he was ever quite as good as the UFC pretended he was to make them money) but we have no idea if he’s even remotely the same fighter now. I am pumped for Roadhouse though.

****en oath, I loved the original (in its D grade glory) and this one will be fun.

I honestly aren't sure why Conor isn't just going for freak show fights at this point, surely Jake Paul in a boxing match would be a great target. Not sure of the status of his UFC contract but a fight like that would be gigantic, would be enough money for everyone like the Mayweather one.
