First of all how bad is sams ankle injury i didnt think it was too bad after he came back on against melb.
2ndly if maxy has a cracker of a game will sam still be an automatic inclusion or will we try and rearrange our backline.
maybe raph or gram?

I don't think Gilbo's injury was too serious. I think he was close this week, so I'd expect him back next week.

I'm pretty sure he would be an automatic inclusion if he's fit, after all he has been one of our best players this season. Gilbo isn't a fringe player anymore, he's a top liner. If Max plays well and Raph or someone else struggles, then it would probably be Raph or someone else out, Gilbo in.

Thanks and hope so....

What about Milne? Does anyone know how serious his knee injury is?

Can't see Milne or Gilbo-Plug playing with Sandy if fully fit. Gilbo-Plug can obviously take a wing or HFF if we have too many talls down back.

Good to see the club not play any guys who have a question mark.

Gilbo-Plug is in our best 22, so when fit he'll come straight back in
Reads the play well, goes hard at the ball and player, takes a good mark
Could do with improving his disposal, but he doesn't have too many howlers

When fit, Raph will go out to accommodate him

NFI how serious his injury is, or Milne's for that matter, but hopefully neither is too bad. If they are ready next week, then I'd expect both to come straight back in

If they miss next week, then who knows? We'll have had the break by then, so maybe a run with Sandy, but still doubt it

I'm assuming that Max will play well as usual.

To me the players that can get dropped on form ( not necessarily bad, just the least perfect ) are:

Baker, Gwilt, Blake , Clarke , Geary, McQualter.

Everyone else is an automatic in for me.

Amazingly Gilbert could come in for just about all of the above, maybe with the exception of Mini, but Mini is one of the most likely exclusions for Milne.

Hard job being a team selecter at the Saints.

Jeez you dont wanna go getting injured or suspended, might find it hard to get back into the side...

What if Macca gets 30 hit outs and kicks 5?

No more MG. :p

How many headbutts in that 5 goals brother?

Why did he come back out and play the last quarter when it wasn't necessary with an injury that's serious enough to miss games?
The case with a lot of these injuries is that playing will not run the risk of any further damage structurally, so there is no added rick of continuing to run it out in that quarter. However, it is clearly minor and he has pulled up sore, so it is better to give him the rest and let the soreness fully recover than keep playing him and having the soreness possibly bugging him for a fair portion of the year. So there was no risk of structural damage on the knee if he kept playing, but the soreness is enough to keep him out next game. Same thing with Milne the week before I would presume. We seem to be taking a no-risk policy with our players this week if they don't pull up right.

That happened, King might be in trouble. He's been good, but Gardiner's been better

Heard Ross Lyon on the radio & he said didn't want to "needle" guys to play so would have played in a final/important game.

I already think macca should be playing ahead of king..
imo king is too slow and gives away to many free kicks.

The only problem with gilbert is that he is not playing atm, he is a dead set champion!

So does anyone know if Gilbert has trained this week?

thats the problemwith closed training! no idea!
on saintsational it was mentioned that milne might not be back this week but gilbert should be.
