lol, clearly trolling but I may as well bite.

You can't expect Geelong to beat any good sides with the following players missing;

- Chapman
- Ottens
- Corey
- Hawkins
- Kelly
- Rooke

Dogs, Hawks, Pies and Freo would have beat us comfortably tonight, as well.

Also, It'd probably be wise to wait until St Kilda beats Geelong when it means something before getting arrogant..
but i thought geelong had great depth? isnt that what we are hearing all the time?, So when the hawks have a few out its not an excuse but when the cats do (because the players out are obviously better according to the supporters) it is an excuse. Your depth got shown up tonite, outside the best 22 just like every other side you dont have much. No plan B either in case things turn to crap. Against the good teams you have to have plan B.

eh geelong were missing a few

all that matters in my book is that you guys are not invincible

tonight proved that

Losing to Carlton and Freo should have proved that prior to tonight.

Anyhow, great game to the Saints; really shut down any run geelong had except for a ten minute period in the second quarter. Will definetly gain alot of confidence from that victory. St Kilda will only get better once Riewoldt is back, so thats a bit of a scary thought.

In any case, hope we meet again in the Finals.

Spot on.

Geelong supporters have crapped on about their depth for a long time, when it suits their argument. Now that it does, they are singing a different tune about missing players. Make up your mind please.

nobody has the depth to cover the players we're missing

it's a bit different to missing players like ladson and young

Yes it's a bit different to missing players like Ladson and Young, but it's no different to missing the likes of Riewoldt and Gram. Just toughen up and stop making excuses, they got you on the day.

Good news for the cats is they didn't have; Chapman, Corey, Ottens and Hawkins and Rooke from there best 22.

Good news for Stkilda is they won a huge clash with no Reiwoldt or Gram who was there best in last years GrandFinal.

Both team will be very confident next time they meet(IMO will be in GrandFinal)

I hope this rivalry matches the West Coast vs Sydney one where there were 2 epic grandfinals in a row.

Yep, not a lot to get excited about, Geelong didn't really play that well. But neither did the Saints really. Still a good win though.

Geelong have a lot to regain, but Saints have a few as well:
- Riewoldt
- Gram
- Dawson
- R. Clarke
- J. Smith (you can say its not much of a chance, but I rate him as a similar chance as Rooke to return, so just put him in there)

Anyways just another 4 points, and hopefully we can get them in the Grand Final, but they will be much much stronger if we meet them there.
WTF?
Explain to me how someone supposedly so important to the Saints fortunes is languishing in the reserves this weekend and is deemed not good enough to be playing in the seniors?

Just got home from a magic win , totally proud of the boys and didn't expect to see this type of thread from a Geelong supporter... we all have them I guess:rolleyes:
Confidence booster and Roo looked "pleased" in the rooms after match :thumbsu:
Great win.

You're not taking it as anything other than a good win are you TF? ;)

Tonights game told us just as much as any mid year game tells us. The two best teams in the comp are good.

Great win Saints. Bank it as just another step to getting a top four spot. Geelong supporters, I'd be surprised if this disrupts your season too much.

I hate to say "I agree with you" cos I do. BUT....had Saints lost I think the prophets of doom would have been up and about. I think Cats can afford the loss.

Either way, these two teams seem a notch above everyone else at the moment

Yes you're right, the same Young and Ladson who embarrassed Geelong in 08.

Looking at Geelong's draw and their current spate of injuries I would say they finish second behind Collingwood.

That means they will have to play the Saints again in the first final, and you presume that Saints will win again.

Geelong then would have to play Carlton who thrashed them earlier in the season or Hawthorn who they have never beaten in a final.

Not their year and will probably bow out in straight sets.

Ins: Chapman, Corey, Ottens, Kelly, Hawkins, Rooke.:thumbsu:
Outs: Gamble, West, Blake, T.Hunt. :thumbsu::thumbsu:

Hey you can't play with 24!!!2 more superdooper stars have to go,,,have some guts and name em:),,,ps just because a team wins a flag don't automatically make the 22 players champions .Fact is no two teams are same from year to year . Can't wait for next saint v cat instalment as I love the hardness and class both sides show. Great game tonight to watch and showed these 2 sides are a step ahead of the rest. That's real footy and real class.
What a bad blue it appears letting big mumford go ,Blake should have been asked to leave as this mumford lad is a beauty.

Well your first mistake was "second behind Collingwood". The rest was unreadable. Suffice to say you are irrelevant in 2010 anyway.

Okay, will see. I predicted St Kilda will end up winning the Grand Final, I guess you don't disagree with that.
