ANZ stadium or Adelaide oval would have been perfectly suitable alternatives. The "hurr durr tradition" argument is BS. The 1991 Grand Final was played at some soulless venue. If the AFL was about tradition then Fitzroy would still be around.

Why do we need 100k seats? The AFL only allocates 12.5k to the fans of each competing club. You could have the grand final in a 30 thousand seat stadium without the blow ins.

Not sure why that is so hard to comprehend given the amount of travel Hawthorn would have had to do, the home ground advantage and what happened there in the QF.

Hawks won because they watched what the Eagles did in their finals loss to them and fixed the errors that occured. Hawks coach out coached the Eagles coach. They could have played on the moon and the result would've been the same, except a little bit more awesome cause, well, the friggin moon.

St Kilda have played in GF's where we only played one H&A game at the G.

We also had the disadvantage of having to play the lead up finals at the opposition's home ground.
