Re: Injury Update - 5 injuries, incl. 2 LTI

That's just two weeks ago, with a new date.

NLM and O'Brien have played and are available for selection.

Browne had a serious hamstring. Ross will be out for a bit with the damage being more than 'slight'.

Yeah I thought that was the case straight after I posted it.

They haven't been updating the list on the main website.

Re: Injury Update

Was just wondering with your injuries, not sure how many but is there any chance Dalgleish would be a possibility to be upgraded from the Rookie list or is it to early??

Way too early, I'd say.

The club seem to rate him, but he's a skinny kid still.

Dell'Olio's the clear favourite to be upgraded, and Lee would be next in line at a guess.

Re: Injury Update

You never know, though, I guess, look at Stephen Hill.

I did, and saw him being belted from pillar to post all last year when the heat was on, and he had minimal impact for the bulk of the season.

That had more to do with Freo's lack of personnel in the guts last year, though.

Re: Injury Update - 29/03: Colyer, Gumby, Pris, Browne, Ross

Am I the only one who is really coming around to thinking that there is a lot of luck involved these days? Just taking Colyer's example for instance, which sounds like it was a bit of a freak incident that could happen at any time:

a) It could happen week 1 in the preseason, and he'd be fine.
b) It could happen 2mins into the 1st quarter and we'd be short for the game.
c) It could happen to Watson/Hurley and screw us even more.

Like someone said before, we've had a brilliant run this preseason with injuries. But mainly, and this is no offence to Ross, Browne and co, but it hasn't happened to key players. Had we just 5 on the injury list going into round 1 like we do, but they were Stanton, Hurley and Watson, we'd be in all sorts of bother. Those who say "no excuses" etc..really don't think about it enough, injuries is a damn good excuse.

*Note: I am not using a Colyer injury as an excuse for us this weekend, like I said, we've had a fantastic run with injuries so far. That was just generally speaking.

Re: Injury Update - 29/03: Colyer, Gumby, Pris, Browne, Ross

A few injuries out of tonight.
Hocking - Concussion
Hardingham - Shoulder
Hooker - Ankle

Both Hardingham and Hooker could play on, but needed strapping and looked restricted.

Re: Injury Update - 29/03: Colyer, Gumby, Pris, Browne, Ross

Any update at this stage on Gumby? I believe they were looking at him doing a 6 week mini preseason, which should be close to being over? Is he close to being able to re commence playing in the VFL, or still a while off?

Re: Injury Update - 02/04: Gumby, Browne, Ross, Hooker, Winderlich, Colyer, Hardingham & Prismall

This weeks update is a bit longer but a few of the players mentioned should play regardless.
