In five years. When you are still shit and flagless and are considering tanking tactics all over again.

Hawthorn, they were never in the hunt yet got their noses out of joint worse than any other team.

Apart from a few stirrers, most pie fans moved on pretty quick and conceded we were out of the hunt. As a lot of Pie fans said, the admin took it on the chin and went out and got a ruck prosepct that we desperately needed.

seems to be a lot of biterness towards judd seeing that he was one of the most popular players around. spoken to a number of mates last night and today and the recurring reasons seem to be:

1. playing for money?
2. poor josh kennedy
3. said he wanted to play at a club with good facilities (which wce had ditto collingwood)

fwiw i couldnt care less where he plays.

Judd has stated he liked the idea of being involved in a situation where by the club is building upwards from a lower position.

Obviously walking in to a team/club thats already at the top of their game now wasn't the kind of chalenge he wanted.

Hilarious spin by Judd. Did you notice he twice said in that interview he was happy with the money he was going to get.

30 pieces of silver. Karma on its way from the cosmic universe.:)

Yes because no Hawks players are in it for the money

You do realise this is their "occupation".

They only have so many years to earn a good living from football so why wouldn't the money be important?

Or are you so slow in the brain this might not occur to you until the year 2012?

Watch, our players will take a pay cut FOR EACH OTHER. This train of thought does not exist for Judas, I mean Judd, and his 30 pieces. Don't kid yourself. There are true blue clubmen and there are mercinaries.

What do you think Judd is? If you guys start making finals, he will let everyone else take a pay cut. You don't get it. Some people are more greedier than others in this life. And in football they are the minority. Most love their club, otherwise you'd be seeing an exodus at trade week each year.

Its fantastic isn't it? :thumbsu:

You just know we're doing something right :)

Believe what you will buddy. We have both seen only one flag over the last 20 years. I could go into more detail about winning something like 20 from the last 140 but not wasting my time to look it up or discuss it further.

I'm just loving the Carlton arrogance. I can't wait till it doesn't work out. You've done well to get Judd (or at least get him to nominate you so you could screw West Coast). I'm sure Collingwood would have screwed West Coast as well. Look the best thing about this whole thing is that I've received so many texts from Carlton supporters who have been a little silent over the last few years. I reckon he might be the new Aaron Hamill.
The point- many pieboys didn't want him for two reasons:- his salary might have been an issue considering how many youngsters we have
- what it might have cost us on the open market.
Others are saying they are glad he went to Carlton as they are not a serious contender.
Anyhow mate, keep it up. I'm loving the blue arrogance! Us Collingwood supporters are quietly confidant with our list (with a bit of reason too).

So yeah, I must be really bitter mate, especially if you say so. Good luck to you buddy. See you in 5 years! Readdress the issue then.
If Carlton have another flag and we don't then I'll tell you right now- I'll be more than bitter. I'll be f*#ing pissed! However, I will know that it will have taken more than one man to bring this about (see Geelong 2007).

You finished? :p

Do you think he would have been on less money had he chosen Collingwood? Or are you saying that the pies are incapable of paying the market rate?

Good luck to you buddy. See you in 5 years! Readdress the issue then.

Mate, we'll only need another 3.

However, I will know that it will have taken more than one man to bring this about (see Geelong 2007).

You seem to have me confused with the irrational blues supporters who think Judd needs to do nothing more than step onto the field to net us next year's premiership. 9th - 12th next season for carlton I would have thought.

You do make some good points though:

I'm sure Collingwood would have screwed West Coast as well.

Finally some sanity.

I'm just loving the Carlton arrogance.

Good to hear we're on the same page! ;)

I was but now...

I was saying had he nominated more than one club than it would have been the forces of supply and demand than would have determined his value to have been a little closer to his true worth. Also, had he chosen Collingwood then we may have gone Reid and Dawes/Brown and pick 14. NOt have been happy to lose two exciting prospects (IMO).

Mate, we'll only need another 3.

Hold you to that mate. That's all I'm saying. We'll see.

Obviously you're not an irrational supporter then. I'm happy for you. But there are plenty of them out there. (BTW- never suggested you were.)

You do make some good points though:

Finally some sanity.

I'm loving it! POWERHOUSE. BEST MIDFIELD.
I never said I was against it; just that it will be funny when you fail. No bitterness, just good old hatred (before, during and after) for Carlton (cheating, tanking, scum).

Good to hear we're on the same page! ;)

I hope now we are. See you at the match next year. My tip: pies by 10 goals! Have a good one mate.:thumbsu:

Hows DIDAK going.

Pretty good actually. All Australian last year, as well as Copeland
Trophy winner. Then had a bad knee injury. Came good towards the end of the year, after recovering from the aforementioned injury. Did you see his match against West Coast? Or do you stop watching before September nowdays?

I'd say he's doing OK. Thanks for asking.

Look i am a WCE fanatic, and i have accepted this. So should most supporters. We lost a great player, yes. But we do get the chance to restock with gr8 young talent in the middle of our premiership window. Something Brisbane, Essendon, Sydney or Port could do.

So in the long run, Carlton gets the guy they want, we get 3 players under 21 and the third best young player in the land. Our year was bad and we finished third on the ladder.

So as a WCE supporter there is plenty to smile about, even with Judd gone. (and the rumors of him leaving gone 2). We can go on our business of winning premierships.

Good luck too Carlton, just some advice dont get too ahead of yourselves, he is a great player no doubt. But you have to have the cattle around. (that will come no doubt).

For the rest of us Eagles supporters, we will still be up there and challenging for the cup again!

I am going to start awarding my "SydJackson Cerificate of Merit" for any posts that show logic, common sense, clear-headedness, correct spelling and use of grammar. It will also be necessary to be respectful of other Clubs including the recognition that each Club has fine young men running around representing them, and that said fine young men also have families.

I am pleased to award you the first such

SydJackson Cerificate of Merit
