Actually, I think I finally get it. We successfully built the atomic bomb. Our Hiroshima was the Brisbane game and our Nagasaki was the GWS game. When they said they were building the bomb, they just forgot to mention they were using it to blow up their own season and not the other teams. It all makes sense now.

Lost our last 5 knockout finals to teams that we had previously beaten in our last minor round clash.

Technically last 6 if you include the 2007 Grand Final against Geelong. We lost by 119 after beating them in round 21 by 5 pts.

On 10 Sep 2005 we lost to the Crows by 83 pts who also beat us in the 13 Aug showdown by 7 pts.
