Called this before last season... only took them 1.5 years
I think everyone except the United board knew it was going to end without success. Lucky for everyone who doesn't follow United it took them just under 3 years to realise

Would Brendan Rodgers be a shout?

Foxes seem to have hit a wall, Rodgers would be chomping at redemption with a massive club.

Zidane appears to be the one Utd want, but last I heard he wasn't interested? It seems that virtually anyone will be an improvement from Ole. Might even apply myself.

Not sure if that's true.

It's gone to sh*t lately but he's transformed you a lot since Mourinho and had you performing reasonably well in the big games before this season.
no he hasn’t. They’ve gone nowhere (2nd vs 2nd), won nothing and spent a record amount of money in doing so. He never should’ve been appointed permanently in the first place and is a very, very average football manager.
Kind of interesting that his unwavering faith in one of the worst transfers of all time ultimately led to his undoing.

Kind of funny that his unwavering faith in one of the worst transfers of all time was ultimately his undoing.

They've rejuvenated the squad though, their squad was ageing and going nowhere fast under Mourinho despite managing a Europa League trophy to put a bit of shine on his reign. To say that Ole doing this and maintaining second is 'going nowhere' is naive considering the ability of the squads around them in Liverpool, City and Chelsea.

Ole has brought through the next generation far better than Mourinho did, with Greenwood and Rashford in particular doing well. I think the Ronaldo signing was damaging in more ways than one. Everyone knew it was a bad idea but the PR was too strong for them to resist. But yeah Ole probably should have just been in for the rest of the season, steadied the ship, then moved on. Outlived his usefulness.
Rashford has done well? Same inconsistent player he has always been. Greenwood has done some good things but mainly this season and wasn’t ready 2 or 3 years ago. So the examples to me aren’t good ones.
Jose might be done and whatever but gee.. we are really reaching if we’re trying to paint OGS as superior to him. They are incomparable.

Who said he was superior to Mou? Just that he improved United from the situation Mou left it in.

This was the last United squad for Mou:

I would say substantial turnover from that side?

Rejuvenated their squad? They’ve spent alot.

Yes?

They spent a lot under Mourinho and Van Gaal too.

The difference is, I would say, that the acquisitions they've made under Ole have by and large been better than those made under previous managers, even though I know everyone is jumping on Maguire's back now because he's an easy target.

Sad to see it end like this for Ole. A genuinely good man who will always be a legend at this club. Now that he is no longer the manager, the players should stop sulking and play for the next manager.

I think it's more a case of Zidane being available so the media has latched onto that idea.

If they are only looking for an interim it means they wants a manager currently in a job, ten Hag or Poch are the obvious two.

Sounds like it's Poch to United and Zidane to PSG in the summer.

Carrick will take over, win 7 games on the trot and get a 5 year contract. No point thinking about anyone else.

It was weird. I cant stand United obviously. I laugh and say Ole needs more time etc... but I genuinely felt sorry for OGS in the post match interview. The journo just kept firing awful questions at him about his position at the club and the result and how poor United had been. And he just looked so lost and hurt and didnt seem to know what to say or do. So out of his depth.

Poor bloke.

I hope United keep being shit though.

I do hope Ole bounces back from this. He should.
