Just read that Dyche is in the last year of his contract, so if we survive and get new owners he will be gone at the end of the season.
Who do you want as a replacement? Potter?

Harry? EtH seems to think Harry Potter is better than him.

TBH no idea who will be available, who we could poach. If the owners can get the funds in better and we can buy players without having to sell too much, sort out everything else etc then anyone. But first it's all about getting the right players in in maybe a Brighton style (pre this year). We seem to spend lots on average players too often and no coach will do well with them. Dyche did two great jobs, but there are too many bottle merchants/injury prone players. Mykolenko being both of those as he's injured yet again. Since he joined us in January 2022 he's missed 12 games of a possible say 94 and missed a month of pre-season this year.

Would Mou be acceptable?

Did a hell of a job last WC. Considering the talent he had at his disposal was one of the coaches of the tournament.

Can see though maybe time for a new younger coach. Terrible results last two games

Yes, fantastic performance at the WC. He did however underperform in the qualifiers (apart from Peru in the playoff).

He seems to do well against quality but run out of ideas against bus parkers. His WC2022 will never be forgotten but he does need to move on. Next stop for him either Asia or the A League.

It's easier to do a good job as a defensive coach against better teams than vice versa. About time he ****ed off. I remember asking him a question at the Fanatics about players going overseas too early (say 20-22year olds from the A-league) and he fobbed the question off like a politician. Didn't like him after that.

Yes, this reeks of taking the safe option.

Cheap option. FFA are skint. Hiddink aside though, and that was a unique situation with only a short term commitment required for the playoffs and the cup itself, all the international coaches have been hot garbage anyway. Any decent coach would do their due dilligence and run a mile from the job, the squad is pathetic.

FA aren't that skint. They don't have the A-Leagues weighing them down anymore.
