What are you talking about?
You wanted to know why Chief made a thread about Youtubers making fun of them. Chief runs a website online, that makes money from advertising; the more clicks he gets, the more money he makes.

You spend an awful lot of time repeating to people that "this is the way things are"; it's kind of a centrepiece of your posting. Well, this is the way things are, and unless you want to join us in wanting to dismantle Capitalism, you are left with no-where to go from your initial position.

There's a (not so) new scourge in town!

From human trafickers to run of the mill abusive manlets, the web has thrown them all at us.

Mostly they are far-right MAGA types. Some haven't given any political affiliation, but the RWNJ angle it is a path to success many take.

The key seems to be "lie as much as you think you can get away with, then double down. Admitting you are wrong is to show weakness".

The polar opposite of what being a "real man" (or just a functional human) actually is.

Are any going to stick long term? Or is Jordan Peterson's continued successful grift a flash in the pan?

Given YouTube's algorithm has been tweaked to favour talky, chatty videos, some of these aren't snappy takes, but worth a dive to appreciate the full odour of the manosphere.

"Like a lot of social media stars (ahem, Joe Rogan and Jordan Petersen, we’re looking at you), it’s Andrew Tate’s controversial views and willingness to say abhorrent and often factually incorrect things that very few others will have seen him rise to prominence."
...
"In another video, Tate enacts hitting a person, saying, “slap, slap, grab, choke, shut up b**ch, sex,” in a way that suggests sex is the natural progression from hitting, choking and abusing someone."

...

"Tate ... earlier said one of his motivations for moving to [Romania] was because the country’s authorities were less likely to pursue sexual assault allegations than other countries."

Here's Tate just bullshitting and running away:

Munecat's dives are always entertaining, though she does put her cringe songs at the end:

Phillion is a bit annoying but always makes good points:

More munecat on the pick up artist grift:

Harris is bloody hilarious:

This guys gets a ton of views. From his bedroom. Skip a minute as he complains about the UK heat. I think there was a more scripted video before this one:

Should we kill them?

This is a very odd post from you Gethy, your 2nd paragraph.

Obviously very off topic, thank you for answering the question posed to the Chief.

If you want to discuss your futile wish to dismantle capitalism and your somewhat continual unhealthy fascination assumptions of my 'position' by all means pm me.

More than happy to discuss

I'll pass, CB. I get enough of your immutable opinions on here already.

No just pointing out already popular nutbars and posting videos critical of them and their grifts.

The 40 people who see this are nothing to the thousands and thousands of people who already "follow" these people.

Mate don't underestimate your power, you're like a Joe Rogan, so you can't deny your influence, deplatform this man!

Are you cut that your fave YouTubers are being revealed as grifters, con men, human traffickers, and violent pimps?

You didn’t answer my question?

Other than a few newspaper articles I’ve never even heard of them. Are they like Rogan? I have heard a bit of his stuff.

Even in my limited exposure to Tate I know he is openly admitting to, if not glorifing in being most of the above.
Anyone with the slightest bit of nous can see hes playing a character.
A reality TV contestant who can spin a mildly entertaining pile of bullshit after a few red bulls and a bump of yayo.

It's essentially hip hop sans the music packaged up in an agreeable form for the e-whore generation

He's actually doing this shit.

It's like you're watching a snuff film and laughing at the "fake blood".

I think our resident lefties, anarchists and pseudo progressives take him most seriously of all. So much outrage. He isn’t even a thing. It’s so funny to see them so melty.
Yeh, nah. As mentioned he has 100,000 people paying $50 a month for his patreon and teachers in primary schools here saying boys in their classes talk about him like he’s a god.

If it was as simple as you say then us lefties and psuedo progressives (whatever that means) wouldn’t give a shit about him, he’d be no different to the other angry incels sitting the basement screaming into the void about “chads” and women who won’t **** them.

Schoolyard radicalisation seems to be a growing problem across the board.

I think "normality" wins with most kids. They all try minor stuff but if my son's friends are any indication, most quickly grow to be embarassed about the crappy views they rattled off in the school yard. The rest stay in the cave, agreeing with each other.

I'm guessing you and Mrs C wouldn't have much truck if one of your kids came home spouting that sort of nonsense, what worries me is homes where those sort of ideas and behaviours are reinforced.

True.

yeah the issue is when shit ideas become normal

if its normal in your group you might just stop telling others about it but hang onto it

Kids are a whole lot smarter than adults. Whether its the far right, or left socialist or anarchists, they see through the bad stuff generally. Until they get to around 18-20 tertiary age and they become a whole lot more easily to be influenced both ways.
