It's About Bloody Time, Bob!
mcinnes header.JPG

I hear you Sweet.

I hear you talking amongst yourselves in your little voices. Saying things like "That McInnes Prize was nothing but a fad", and "Thank Mobbs that oldmate Bob had won his beez and has f*cked off back to mediocrity", and my favourite - "How many shoops would a shitshooper sh*t if a shitshooper could sh*t shoops?"

Well whisper no longer, for it's time to rejoice again. The McInnes Prize is back babey!!!

It's the sixth time that the McInnes Prize has been run, and by now you all know what it's all about. But just in case you're new to these parts of are living under a rock (best rental in town), The McInnes Prize is awarded to the person who submits an original picture which is adjudged by the reigning McInnes Prize winner as the best Photoshopped image (or shoop) of the season. It is named after sports journalist Shane McInnes, who was famously described by TheInjuryFactory lookalike Ross Lyon as being "quite brilliant", with previous winners including such maestros of the visual arts as TheInjuryFactory Hate manangatang Elton Johns Wig Kennedy Parker CursingFijian and most recently Falconista as the incumbent holder of this most prestigious of shambolically-run online awards.

Here what their entries have looked like under exhibition conditions:

As you have probably realised by now given the timing of this season's McInnes opening, we're gonna do things a bit differently in McInnes VI. And if you've paid attention to the thread header (or threader as I like to call it), this season is all about speed shoopin'! As a result the entry criteria is slightly different, which I have bolded & highlighted below...
  • The competition will be open to receive expressions of interest BUT NOT ENTRIES from now (the revised Riviat rule) until the conclusion of the Sweet FA home and away season for season 36 (i.e.: after round 16 games finish);
  • Immediately after the expression of interest period closes, all entrants will receive a personalised DM from me with a theme that will be specific to you and you alone. You will then have 48 hours to submit your McInnes Prize entry to me, again via DM;
  • If you have an unavoidable conflict during the 48 hour entry submission period, I will assign an alternative 48 hour period for sometime within the week following the end of the Sweet FA home and away season for season 36 (i.e.: after week one of finals finish);
  • The judge for the competition is the reigning McInnes Prize winner, which in this case is Falconista and the adjudication period will run from once all entries are submitted until the conclusion of the third round of finals for season 36 (i.e.: after the preliminary finals finish);
  • Results will be announced at the conclusion of the adjudication period (i.e.: when I get around to it);
  • There is an entry limit of one (1) picture per person, which must have an accompanying description of 50 words or less;
  • You may change your entry during the 48 hour entry period, however the entry submitted as of the conclusion of the 48 hour entry period will be considered as the final entry;
  • It must be a still picture that is digitally created (that means on a computer, not a finger painting like Koko the gorilla) of a size that can be successfully attached to a BigFooty post, preferably .jpg or .png format (no gifs still sorry Bonz);
  • The picture shall be created using the specific theme that is given to you. How you interpret the theme is up to you, however please ensure that the description describes the picture according to the theme because that's what descriptions do, they describe;
  • It must be an original picture that you have created by whatever means that are available to you, and the more original the picture the better;
  • Your entry needs to have been created during the 48 hour entry period that is assigned to you and must relate to your specific theme. Any entries that are submitted before or after the entry period OR do not relate to your specifc theme will be deemed ineligible;
  • Entry is open to any poster who has been a part of the Sweet FA, in season 36 and/or in previous seasons;
  • The winner of the McInnes Prize will receive a badge that will look something like this:
    701_1626926736l.jpg
So apart from being a shooper of indeterminate skill and have a creative bone in your body, you also need time management skills and be able to shoop under pressure. Sound like you? Well then express your interest, and I'll be in touch shortly.

Yes. Yes I do.

Is this an expression of interest?

EDIT: NARRATOR: yes it is.
I'm always interested in you Bob. But since you want to see my penis (on a statue you perverts. It's called art) I will oblige.

Yeah, go on. I suck but I’m competitive and will have a crack

Are you entering my competition Professor?
No, just pointing out the word "babey" is spelt wrong except in urban dictionaries where it is spelt wrong.

I should also point out that I didn't read past the spelling mistake, because I couldn't see the point. However Cadsky kindly asked for a synopsis to save me the trouble. And I read that and still have no F**KING idea what the hell is going on.

47 different links explaining what a shoop is and all I can get from this you are going to PM applicants with a theme from which they have to make a doowop-like sound which they have to create digitally without using gifs.

But that makes no sense, so I am all at sea.

That's alright, it's probably not for you. It's more of a Shelbyville idea.
