The only point of order is the "winebar" remark.

Thanks to their catch-all marketing, the Crows supporter base contains a huge portion of the most rabid, uneducated, classless and just god-awful humanity South Australia has to offer. From Elizabeth to Noarlunga Downs and back.

What's worse is due to their inherent feeble-mindedness this particular gaggle have hitched their wagon to the Crows=Chardonnay/Port=Feral stereotype to such an extent that their visceral hatred for Port Adelaide and its fans borders on racism, turning the once-friendly Showdown rivalry down a decidedly dark path.

The funny thing is, I'll put my list haute things I've done up against the average Crow fan and I'll guarantee you the scales will be firmly in my favor. Port Adelaide is about being inclusive no matter what your background, united in a common quest and belief that there is merit in winning premierships and achieving the ultimate success...whereas Crow fans seem to think that wearing the kids paint pot jumper ("Let's learn about primary colours today children!") automatically makes them bourgeois.

Tell me about it. I worked in a few esteemed supermarkets through the Northern Suburbs back in the early noughties which were frequented by an array of persons in a cerebrally vegetative state-95% of any club paraphernalia worn would have been yellowed 1997 / 1998 t-shirts.

So much this. My purely anecdotal experience is that Port has a great many, for lack of a better word, cosmopolitan supporters who like a lot of varied things. Some people who've known me for years are surprised to learn I follow the footy at all.

On the other side of the coin I divide Crows into two basic camps: people who follow absolutely every sport and are not interested in talking about anything else, and outright casuals who don't care much for footy but follow the Crows to get along.

My hope is that over time the move to Adelaide Oval will bear this theory out to some extent.

I love the little known truth so much that I want to marry these posts and live happily ever after. Something I've wanted to highlight for a while now but haven't known how to put it this eloquently. I'd probably write a rambling, incoherent thesis. Thanks guys.

Channel 10  just showed a highlight of Red Bull F1 driver Daniel Ricciardo filming a promotional ad for Renault with Chad Wingard.

Pretty much confirms that Red Bull will sponsor the Power next year :p

Just saw the snippet on 10 great publicity that, will need Koch to weave some magic & keep in contact with Red Bull would be a nice sponsor addition alongside Renault & EA.

That would mean that Port would have the C-words colours on our guernsey, even though The Team For All South Australians choose not to include the Port Adelaide colours on theirs :D

Another great thing for our club, the brand just goes from strength to strength. Amazing what can be achieved in all facets when we have good people at the club.

Everything is fantastic OFF the field - now we just have to start winning ON the field: must beat Carlton!!!!!

Anyone watch first episode of Footy Classified for season 2014?

They now have a SA only segment where they crossover to the wonderful Warren Tredrea to discuss SA AFL matters .....
Except they said "Warren Tredrea from Adelaide ..." which was technically true but a little insensitive.

Jesus harden the **** up old boy.

If that is insensitive I'll go he.

Dumb not insensitive, there is a difference.

There was a very good double page spread on Ollie / PAFC in the Saturday Herald Sun (15/3).
I thought someone else would have seen this and posted same.

Brilliant interview with Kern on ABC Grandstand currently. Very, very open about the SF last year vs. Geelong and the coaching mistakes he felt he made that night. Gerard Whateley asking great questions as well.

*EDIT* Make sure you catch this interview on the Sunday Inquisition podcast if you didn't hear it today. Best interview from our coach I've heard.

Gerard Whateley is my favourite AFL journo.
I'd like to see a show with Whateley and Caro running the stories with crossovers to Emma Quayle doing the u18s/draft stuff.

Great interview, Gerard and co spoke glowingly of Ken at the end of the interview, not just what a great coach he is but a great person. We are so lucky to have him and as they said it's now almost unfathomable that he did not get a coaching gig sooner.

Was very interested to hear Ken say how he has beaten himself up over the summer about the Geelong result. He said that at half time instead of focusing the team on continuing to do what they we doing and really going for the jugular, he focused on preparing for Geelong's inevitable onslaught and created a defensive mindset in the team. And that was after he said to Richo as they went into the rooms at half time that he was not going to do that.

He is so honest about his own performance, no player could ever complain if he criticises what they are doing.
