Like JLo's presser, he's very engaged with the media questioner and answers their actual question. Doesn't mind singling players out when asked the question - something Ross would never have a bar of (for better or worse who knows).

Who impressed and who didn’t in Fremantle Dockers’ pre-season win over West Coast Eagles

No Joel Hamling? No Alex Pearce? No worries!
Griffin Logue could be the shining light to come out of Fremantle’s defensive injury crisis, if his pre-season performances are anything to go by.
With Hamling out for the first half of the season with an ankle injury and Pearce unlikely to feature until at least round two, Logue’s development is all the more important.
He got the gig on dual Coleman medallist Josh Kennedy and kept him goalless for the first half.
Kennedy just kicked the one goal in the third term before his day ended early.
Logue wasn’t done though, taking an important mark in the dying minutes against Tom Barrass.
Taylin Duman was another Dockers defender who stood up, including a spoil on Liam Ryan with a few seconds left.
Cam McCarthy
McCarthy the wingman, who would’ve thought?
The 24-year-old made a name for himself as a goal-kicker during his days as a GWS Giant and first few years at Fremantle.
But new coach Justin Longmuir decided to give McCarthy a go on a wing during the pre-season, and it’s beginning to pay off.
With recruits Blake Acres and James Aish out injured and Michael Frederick dropped, McCarthy started on a wing with Brett Bewley and was the Dockers’ leading possession-getter at quarter-time.
His improved fitness was on display and his kicking was impressive, hitting the majority of his targets.
Jarrod Brander
Another new wingman who looked right at home in his different position, Brander got better as the game went on.
The Eagles seem pretty keen to hit their top pick from the 2017 draft, who has been starved of senior opportunities in his first two seasons, in their best 22.
The tall utility improved on his showing against Essendon last week, getting better as the game went on.
Liam Ryan

From the moment the first ball was bounced, Flyin’ Ryan looked on.
The dangerous forward took a decent hanger in the opening minutes and nearly repeated it before quarter-time.
He missed his first shot at goal but made up for it later in the term when he picked off an errant Stephen Hill kick in before slotting through the resulting set shot.
He didn’t get a great deal of the footy but his trademark pressure was there and he looks in good nick heading into round one.
Jamie Cripps
The unsung hero of the Eagles’ forward line just keeps getting it done.
Cripps was busy as usual, tackled hard and was involvement in everything up forward.
He finished 18 touches and six score involvements.
Who didn’tNathan Vardy
Probably needed a big game to cement his spot as Nic Naitanui’s ruck partner, and didn’t.
The premiership big man is facing a three-way battle to hold his spot for round one, with youngster Bailey Williams a huge chance and Tom Hickey also in the mix.
Vardy had little impact in the match, amassing just four disposals to go with nine hit-outs.
